And like Nakurawari said on the last page. The Demon's Plan video was actually a pretty decent video, so nothing to really dislike about it

Obviously not; the title is dumb. I just mean compared to a lot of his videos, the stuff he says is quite tame. He notes that it's to his taste, and I can respect that. I don't agree with the whole video, but that doesn't mean I have any major problems with it either.

Well to be fair MHA has way more dialogue than OPM. There are quite a few chapters of OPM that are nothing but action shots. On top of that, OPM didn't adapt a few of the bonus chapters in the volumes.

MHA Volumes 1-7 cover The beginning, The Invasion Arc, Sports Festival Arc, and the Stain arc. I don't think it's even possible to adapt all of that in 13 episodes

I was expecting him to jump in guns blazing saying "OMG this is the greatest thing ever! Jump better not axe this!"
But it seems like it's something he just finds appealing personally, but recognizes that it's not anything special, and can understand if it gets axed

Talking of My Hero Academia anime Adaptation.

Big Problems:
- Only 13 episodes.
- 1st chapter took 2 episodes. At least if they wanted to spend so much time in the 1st chapter they should made a special starter episode with the length of 2 episodes, and not half of the chapter in 1 week and wait for the other for the rest.
- Giving the pace they were going, missed adding impact and fleshing some characters and events.

Basically that is for me the major problems of the series. Mainly Management and Planning of the franchise.

Also it would in fact be easy to adapt until the end of the School Festival with 13 episodes. Counting the the 1st episode would be just the 1st chapter, it would just need a pacing of 3.5 chapter per episode to reach that point.
It would be something like this(rounded to 4 chapters per episode):
1st episode -> 1st chapter
2nd episode -> 2-4 chapter (Training until receiving the news of entering the school)
3rd episode -> 5-8 chapter(Entering the School until beginning the Heroes vs Villains battle)
4th episode -> 9-12 chapter(Until destruction of the school gate)
5th episode -> 13-16 chapter(Until Noumu defeating eraserhead)
6th episode -> 17-20 chapter(Ending of Villains Invasion)
7th episode -> 21-24 chapter(1st phase of Festival)
8th episode -> 25-28 chapter(2nd phase of Festival)
9th episode -> 29-32 chapter(Start of Midorya fight against the mind guy)
10th episode -> 33-36 chapter(Until Bakugou vs Uraraka)
11th episode -> 37-40 chapter(End of Midoriya vs Todoroki)
12th episode -> 41-44 chapter(End of Festival)
13th episode -> ...

With some adjustments of where to end an episode, and given that it is 3.5 instead of 4 chapter per episode, they could improve a lot the viewer experience watching like that.

Still, personally I don't mind the pace the series got, for me both 3.5 to 1.5 it got are equally good. Obviously, when made correctly.

You would think that people who sat through most Shounen Jump adaptations wouldn't be complaining so much about pacing. I mean the only Jump adaptation with fast pacing was AssClass and that was mainly because it skipped a significant portion of material from the manga.

First of all not all manga are paced the same way. The OPM manga has generally slow pacing since everything is built up to the punchline. MHA has much faster pacing because it has more to say. The OPM anime was able to get through so much material by speeding through most of it while the MHA anime slowed things down so it was more noticeable.

OPM chapters in the volumes aren't that long especially during the arcs it covered

The thing about Academia is that a 2 cour series would've worked perfectly, it could've went to ch 58 going at a little over 2 chapters an episode and finishing on a great part.

I'm curious how s2 will go, there's a few different routes they could take. My guess is a 2 cour series going up to ch 69 and maybe the first few pages of ch 70, since that'd mean 2 chapters an episode the full way through (which is the pace they were going in the second half of s1).

My heart leaped with the title because we know that new character announcement is filler, characters must be introduced in the series. They said "anime" and my eyes bulged, but it is just a OVA. We're safe.
