Pierrot made many of my favorite animes, tokyo ghoul re, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Naruto SD, Puzzle & Dragons X, Morose Mononokean, Divine Gate, Bleach, Kingdom, BLack Clover is a match made in heaven.

The quality of the two goes hand in hand.

And to think there's people in this thread who think this is a good thing when Pierrot has repeatingly fucked up many adaptations.

As far a animation, I think Pierrot is pretty decent for the most part, and looks great when they want it to.

And this will be great for Clover's success tbh. It'll be a long runner, Jump will promote it like crazy, it'll likely get a big boost(i think it'll pass World Trigger, but fall short of MHA)
And I also think it's very possible for a Boruto crossover

Kind reminder of how Pierrot ruined both with excessive filler, bad animation and pacing. They're definitely not a studio if you care about quality.

But Bleach's Zanpaktou arc was extremely good and lets not forget how epic the Bounts arc was.

I prefer to think about what they have done lately, rather than Bleach and Naruto part 1. It's not representative of what they are actually like nowadays.

But Bleach's Zanpaktou arc was extremely good and lets not forget how epic the Bounts arc was.

The Zanpaktou arc was only "good" because the source of material had hit a low point during that time by itself it was largely dull and got worse after the storyline ended. The Bount arc was terrible.

Because of Fujoshi. Also people seem to forget that they animated Twin Star Exorcist. Which makes sense because its largely forgettable.

Yeah, sure.
SnO is mostly outsorced. If they treat Black Clover like a priority it should be pretty good aside from fillers, and even then, the manga is so fast paced and Black Bulls centered that one or two filler arcs would actually improve it.

Osomatsu-san is popular and a very good show. Id never argue with that. Although, it's a completely different kind of series than Black Clover, and I don't think it's comparable when talking about how the Black Clover anime will be.

My point was just that bringing up how Naruto part 1 was handled is irrelevant in 2016.

I loved Bleach's anime more than the manga, TBH. I think it depends on WHICH Pierrot we're getting here. I'm not gonna cry foul just yet. Still, it's odd they'd give BC long runner status over MHA, potentially. Aren't long running anime a bigger financial investment?

Not even close. Being the best Naruto episodes in years does not equate to being the best of the year.

long runner status depends on the production committee, I doubt the magazine interfere in that choice

Beelzebub was a long runner too, it was never a big hit

Honestly I depise Black Clover so for me Pierrot doing is bad in the sense that even in the worst case scenario it'll be competent enough to be successful. If nothing else, Pierrot has almost never failed at churning out hits (well except for Twin Star, that seems to have really missed it's mark in Japan)

EDIT: To the above post it's probably worth noting that Beelzebub was done by Pierrot Plus. They're technically a different studio with different staff members
