eh no, your example is bad, since both those guys belongs to same category

I said it before, don't let other people opinions affect your judgment
What can I say I don't follow the herd I carve my path. And yes you Might be right but remember generic doesn't mean its bad.

correct, an example of this is the original Star Wars trilogy which is pretty generic yet so enjoyable

I think.kimetsu no yaiba will have the lead and color page for the first anniversary of the series.
Anyway on february: kimetsu no yaiba, ghost tits, black clover, haikyuu and world trigger. Problably next week yuragi will have the lead and color page after kimetsu no yaiba

I wonder if either Yuuna or Kimetsu will get a popularity poll announcement for their first anniversary. Kimetsu needs another arc or two first before it can have a good one since the main cast is still fairly small but I can see one working for Yuuna.

That was an entertaining conversation for sure about criticize or not authors and series. I will be very straightforward: it is bullshit saying that we cannot criticize and even more bullshit that the authors should ignore their readers criticism. The entire market is based on that! It is funny that people say such things here, where we discussion Jump TOCs, the biggest example that readers' opinions matter. See your series rolling down the mountain in the TOC is not a kind of criticism? Shokugeki no Soma authors, seeing the series going down, chose to ignore it? Obviously not, they are working to recover the series position in the magazine, the new arc already sounds very good, bringing some things that people really wanted to know.
Criticism doesn't mean that one doesn't like a manga. I, for the most part, criticize only things I care about (except Fairy Tail hahaha) because I want to see it improving, they are my impressions about the chapters/series as a whole and I cannot lie to myself and pretend everything is all right just because I like the series. Of course, there are people out there who read something just to criticize and don't drop the damn thing already, these people are annoying and I condemn them.

Sigh... That's why I'm not discussing mangas here anymore... People don't know the difference about opinions and facts and even criticize you when you criticize an aspect of a series.... The forum is losing its purpose... :noworry

Authors feed off criticism, it's like movies or books or video games. I think every author wants to hear the true feelings from fans instead of blind praise. Fans what makes the author money anyway. Why do rankings in TOC then? It's to get feedback on how your readers are taking the current progress of he story. It's a difference between criticism and hate though, some people just burn theirselves and play the "woe is me" card when reading something they dislike but for some reason can't take a break or drop it completely. Dumbest people in the world whose thoughts rarely are heard cause no one cares

I agree. An author writing the story the way they want to does not exempt them from the criticism of that story. They are free to do that, sure. However, if what they write has problems, people are allowed to discuss those sort of things. I think a conversation about the faults or positives of a series should be encouraged.

New English jump bonus issue with part two of the yugioh and rurouni kenshin shorts is out for those curious. They translated the little bit at the end of the rurouni kenshin one talking about it being a prelude to the upcoming Hokkaido arc, so it sound like they'll be running it once it starts.

No news on if they're picking up either of the new wsj series yet but at this point my guess is they're waiting to see the first ranking before picking it up, to make sure they don't end up with multiple instant failures in a row.

I would personally like you to take a look at the comment section of any Nintendo related video.

It's like valid criticism doesn't exist anymore and people can't accept the fact that last year was terrible for them. Juts like last year was technically bad for Shokugeki no Souma with its pacing and focus on unimportant characters.

I respect this, it's hella ironic. Growing up watching DBZ, Naruto, YYH, OP I felt like everything it gave us was greatness and it could literally do no wrong but coming onto forums it's crazy how influential people's comments can be. I never thought it was bullshit how Goku never really died after being killed like 3 times before until I came onto forums a year ago. The irony is you come on forums like MH to discuss your favs with other people so it's a double edged sword highkey. Still I see both sides to it, what you're saying and Emdee is saying. It's a way to coexist both ways. I don't get people who dread reading weekly series they dislike because they to be a "completionist" that's bullshit to me. If anything take a break. People who complain week in and week out with no real basis in their words are never heard to me.
There is no bullshit in the way Goku died and got revived!
And Goku died 2 times. Against is brother, where he was later ressurected by the Dragon Balls, that are the reason of existence of the entire series, and the second against Cell, where a High God of creation, gave his own life and granted it to Goku.

What I find Bullshit is how you changed you're mind just by talking with some random people in the internet that obviously made uneducated claims about something that is OK.

Haha I'm loving people saying things like "you should not let other people opinions affect your judgement" when we're talking about a whole industry/art/forum based on that. Also were are our opinions coming from? Pretty much you learn everything you know based on other people's works/opinions, you can't just simple imagine all the truth of the universe by yourself.

But wtv, like somebody said: "we're all expert critics". And Fornever is our warlord.

Also, happy new year. I hope you all had a pleasant time.

May 2017 bring Tamura back. Peace.

Bottom line people shouldn't Control the Mangaka's manga because it becomes their's not his I thought people were "EDUCATED" If a mangaka made a mistake, he made a mistake I didn't say you shouldn't criticize I say People should not control the mangaka manga its fascist and its wrong I don't go to his twitter and sperg about The way his manga should be done. Like say before You can them the flaws of their manga but you don't have a right to tell him what to do period. I don't care if you are educated being Critic is one thing being triggered and wanting him or her to write the way want is not okay, I mean hasn't bakuman taught you guys anything?

Let the author learn from his mistakes

If you really want to complain then complain to jump's editors and tell to stop making decisions for the author, the manga in Jump is basically theirs.

The bold is a bad statement. You say for people not to do something bad, and just next to it you do worse. If you were someone with any "power", "influence", "Visibility" or "importance" your comment would be enough to sue you for defamation.
You have no idea, if the editors make decisions for the authors, and you even encourage people to complain.

I started reading through Assassination Classroom a few days ago. I'm about 60 chapters in and I'm having a blast. Such a fun series. Can't believe it took me this long to read it, but at least I don't have to wait for chapters to be released.

I don't know anybody who went to any author's Twitter and complained about his manga, much the contrary, they praised it. I think there is no problem to talk with the author about the impressions you had about a chapter, if done respectfully. I never had the curiosity to follow an entire thread where an author is present, mainly because most of the authors I like don't have Twitter, but some say ”感想ありがとうございました” often. Webcomics websites have commentary spaces and some authors also interact there and so on. Everything can be done within the borders we consider respectful.
Juvia and Gajeel deaths reached my timeline and I'm certain that Hiro Mashima had many comments about this. Probably he had a great time seeing the reactions.

Your comment saying "I don't like it change it or else" Every dictator that have killed innocents were educated does mean their right?
