Wow, that rookies site is impressive. Impressive in the fact that it's the perfect breeding ground for future mangakas. Say what you will about them mimicking other famous mangakas' styles, but that's exactly what they're supposed to do. The first thing you need to do before you create your own style is to mimic others as much as possible. Sooner or later, their style will become something original and unique to them.

Well, there is a lot of sites out there who publish things from amateur artists and/or less known professionals.
I never thought that there was so many websites for publishing mangas out there before following Pinga (https://twitter.com/pinga_comic). I discover a new one everyday. lol

I hope Promised Neverland becomes a battle manga. Todays chapter gives me hope.

Also BLack Clover continues to be the best storytelling in jump each week. Dorksta thinking of Yuno was precious.

It would be so disappointing, not to mention cliche, if The Promised Neverland became a simple battle shonen. The kids so far used their brains, not their muscles to do everything. Of course a battle in this manga, but battle with the brain, not with the fists. The author made clear that the children were raised to be smart, the aliens like this way for some reason unknown now. The most appropriate course of action is to make the kids use this against the aliens. We know that they don't stand a chance against the aliens in pure strength so what do you suggest? That the author invent that the kids have hidden superpower or anything like that? Just thinking about this possibility gives me chills. I would abandon the series altogether, it wouldn't have any value for me anymore.

They can link up with the humans outside, get trained on guerrilla warfare tactics with heavy artillery and machinery then launch an all out assault against the monster + humans allied with them, it seems clear that that is the direction the manga is going.

I believe there will be either some type of weapons or abilities introduced in Neverland to combat the demons. But I believe the fights with them will be strategy based. Almost like a RPG game.

If they have to go down the battle shonen route, I just hope it's grounded in realism. I don't want superpowers or magic, but I would tolerate human weaponry from our era. Sniper rifles, mortars, tanks, etc.

Heavy weaponry in the hands of children wouldn't be realistic at all.
Well, I just want the series to keep its identity. The author has to be very careful to not transform it into a brawl.

A world with monsters who are equal ground with humans, no matter how smart those children are, their has to be a limit of how much they talk everything out it, one day people will just get annoyed with this repetitive set up where they talk everything out of it and say"why are you nitpicking with this children? just snap their neck and it's game over" so yeah, mouth alone won't get them anywhere, so I hope this doesn't turn a berserk world where Guts uses his mouth only. It's already been set up that Emma is physically strong, even among the boys, the set up has already begin, so I am looking forward to the action.

Monster eating children is realistic?
I was answering @Buranchi , between superpower and weapons, the latter is certainly more realistic. The Promised Neverland seems to be a science fiction where superpower wouldn't combine that much. One scene from the last chapter could support my theory that humans don't necessarily use force out there: who was talking to the alien in equal ground was skinny scientist. I don't think that mere weapons, even more in the hands of children, could threaten aliens, it is something else... That something else is what is interesting in all this...

My friend brought up this question earlier today, and I wanted to see your guy's thoughts on it. Would One Piece be as enjoyable if Luffy became a marine instead of a pirate? In my opinion, it would probably be a lot less entertaining just because the premise of becoming the Fleet Admiral seems very similar to Naruto's goal of becoming Hokage, and it's a very generic goal in general. Also, the fact that Luffy is on the side of the "bad guys" makes the story more interesting.

Could have still been good and still very successful, but not nearly as big

No,

Luffy would have to "dethrone" the 3 admirals first, whom have at least 10-15 years experience, plus powerful Devil's fruit. Even the Vice Admiral have at least 30+ years experience. It wouldn't be realistic for him to become an admiral in 2 years.

Smoker literally said, he cannot do what he want because of RANK. He was a captain pre timeskip, and all he did was chasing down small time pirate.

^ Luffy story would be revolving around that.

The thing about Luffy being a marine limits freedom in writing. He has to follow rules and stuffs. Basically, he won't have any rank higher than captain if he acts like the current Luffy. Another factor in being a Marine is safe travel across the Grand Line.
