Larcade Dargneel, Fairy Tail.

Hiro Mashima exhausted every single brain cell of his to provide us the most brilliant, outstanding, exceptional, extraordinary and phenomenal backstory of all time. Larcade is the inspiration for many other great mangakas in this world. The way Hiro has portrayed Larcade is without equal, putting the backstory of any other character far behind Larcade's in terms of quality, twists, attention to detail and discrete foreshadowing. The mysteries surrounding Larcade were so breathtaking that many popular mangakas (e.g. Eiichiro Oda, Yoshihiro Togashi, Kentaro Miura) took breaks or hiatusses just to meet together and theorize about Larcade. Many people suffered a heart attack upon the revelation of Larcade's character. Fortunately, no one died from said attack. Famous and successful attorneys all over the globe saw a great opportunity to sue Hiro Mashima, but the "victims" refused to go to court, because they consider their heart attacks as the greatest pleasure they ever felt.
