I've never read Beezlebub so this is all new to me. I do like Genderswapping because I think it adds great dynamic to a story, and this first chapter was great. But I feel like the whole scenario was a bit messily laid out for us. I mean, slow down a little guys come on

You should check it out. I don't know how Harapeko is going to shape up but Beelzebub is fantastic. Belongs in the top 10 funniest manga's IMO. Too bad Studio Pierrot ruined the anime like only they can.

That's one of the reasons I'm checking this out, even with the genderbendy stuff I don't care for, Ryūhei is a strange and funny man.

合コンに出かけたはずのマモルがメンバーを伴い教会へとやって来る
あわててタイガを隠すアンナ
合コンメンバーは噂の幽霊を見るためにやって来たらしく
幽霊を出せと教会内で大はしゃぎ、アンナを見つけた彼らは
女のメンツが一人少ない事を理由に合コンに参加するよう強要する
アンナの窮地にタイガが一行の前に姿を現す
本当に姫の幽霊が出たとパニックになる合コンメンバー
そんな彼らをカンフーで撃退するタイガ

落ち着いたところでアンナはタイガに「よくぞ現世にお戻りになられましたね、姫」と告げる

アンナ「いえ…姫様です」
タイガ「何言ってんだ急に」

鷺宮親子はそのままタイガを姫として扱うことに
アンナ父曰くもうすぐ上の者がやって来るので一言も喋らなくていいからそのままでいくてれ、とのこと

タイガが上の者について尋ねようとしたところで盛大に腹の音がなる
アンナ父がショコラでも出そうかと取り計らおうとした矢先にタイガの体が元に戻る
驚く親子に対してタイガが一言

「早くせんか、妾は腹ペコじゃ」

They didn't encounter a ghost, they went there looking for one and got beat up after harassing Anna.
Anna doesn't "think" it's the queen inside. They have a conversation like:
"Welcome back to the world of the living, my queen."
"No, no, no it's me Taiga in here. I just said that"
"No, you are the queen"
"What are you saying all of a sudden"
"You are the queen"
"Wrong! Could a queen do kung-fu like that just now?"
"You are the queen" "...right?"
"...yeah"
The narrator doesn't reveal he will die. He says, he will regret what he just said "to the death".

Taiga gets hungry, daddy pulls out chocolate, he returns to his real body and it's revealed Mary is now in control.

So I guess when they are hungry it's Mary in control of Taiga's body and when they are full the other way around.

Waitwaitwait! So when Taiga is hungry he becomes a hawt cute female but when he is full Mary gets into control but in his body? Oh boy, going to the toilet is going to be so awkward for them~

This was pretty darn good, though with the MC's words about his love story being skewered, I think Theresa will also fall in love with her then we'll have a comedic love triangle.
I hope there are other heroines/heroes revived, would make this series a little more like Fate, except this time with heroes and not their spirits.

I don't think it works exactly like that. Marie said she was hungry on the last page. I think he can switch by eating something and one persona will stay when he/he is full.

Also, 'Why do you dally?' Really? XD I like how they make a point of showing Marie is from the past by having her even use Grammar from back then. Her reaction to the cake though
So from what I'm getting from this chapter, Marie still runs on normal processes like eat and sleep? Regardless of whether or not Taiga already ate/slept, her body runs independently from him, the only difference they share is the same human vessel.
And LOL at that "Apparently she never said that." Guess this manga intends on keeping things fresh off the bat with the historical information too

Spoiler: This is amazing

Oh shit, I can already see the potential here, Taiga ends up falling for the princess, or she ends up falling for him, either way this is going to be one long journey. Looking forward to it completely

So Marie can come out whenever she wants, she just does it when she wants to eat. And she is able to talk with Taiga.

That was funny and we got even more details. Unless we get another twist Taiga will stay a girl most of the time.

This was a pretty sweet chapter, I liked the humor with the shared dreams
But would that mean that Taiga should also be capable of seeing Marie's dreams? Since she's tight lipped about her past, this could be how he learns about her past.
I think that his family was the one that killed her in the past. Like, his ancestors were the ones that killed her.
And that guy on the last page looks interesting enough. If he's our first antagonist I quite like his charaacter design.

They have not even reached the school and things are problematic. It is getting better.

Will be weird to see Taiga beat these delinquents in that form with so many witnesses. I wonder how they will explain it, Mamoru will probably learn the truth but the twins are a mystery.

Just read Chapter 6 and 7.

Magic powers like that were expected but I wonder how it will work out in the long run(assuming it doesn't get cancelled). Beelzebub's latter fights were not really that interesting with magics, Demons and stuff, I liked them more because of Oga's charisma. If Tamura uses the same formula I doubt I will like it. Taiga's moves in Chapter 6 were cool though.

Marie's Necromancy already feels a bit unique. At least, as far as I remember, there was nothing like it in Beelzebub, as most "magic" in that series seemed to amount to just stronger punches.

As for how it will work out in the long run, I'm curious if Marie is the only soul possessing someone? I could more souls being introduced which would allow for different types of magic.

Probably. But that would be just like the last arc of Beelzebub. Though I agree to keep this going with Marie's abilities, the story would need characters with same or similar powers
