Imo instead of leading new players on máfia side to think carefully before providing something, he gave them space to simply say nothing and walk away safely with it. An evidence to it is that the majority that said something is people that alrdy played and weren't on evidence xD fearing nothing and knowing better. But I'm biased o/

Obviously he isn't sure, but since there is a fair number of new players around, he thinks it's impossible for all of them to be Townies.

Which is, of course, how some games have been lost. "Surely there can't be this" and "Surely there should be this" are the leading misleading conceptions regarding this game.

I find it very unlikely. If I were Gry I would not make all new players experience only the Townie roles.

That logic is so flawed, I remember that Kat always went on newbie hunt because she always believed that a newbie was a mafia. I do even recall a MG, I think it was the LoL MG, there were a couple of newbies and no one had a mafia role, they were all townie. I do understand where Demon is coming from, but really, the roles are purely randomized given.

Is there a single method everyone uses? With the special abilities and stuff I doubt everything is randomized. Or he could do it again until he gets at least one new player in the opposite side.

As far as i know...roles are inputed into a generator and are randomized.
Not trying to be difficult...just curious why you are sure a new player is mafia.

Idk, wasn't last mafia team basically made of new players? Not first timers, but still. I do think it's completely random and you can have any kind of composition there.
I do agree that considering we have a lot of new people, it's likely to have a mafia member among them, but it's defo not certain.

Panda is vastly overestimating people who are playing this game in general, let alone the newbies.
Anyone who would take subtle "hints" like that from what Farfalla posted would actually do perfectly fine on their own to begin with.

No, it's not for sure, but it's highly likely and even more so now that Farf has been giving how-to-mafia 101 lectures

It might not be subtle for us, but here is what "overestimating" comes into play.

I don't really suspect you for the Day 1 "plays" mood you got going.
I wouldn't think you'd be this passionate about the game, but I guess you have a good enough role to get motivated.

I don't think panda is máfia btw, it's silly but the fact that he didn't see at first that the gauge system as he speculated would harm the máfia leads me to think he has a townie mentality.
