@Angiecakes1990 Natsu is "half-dragonized" but this form is END. Him using END power just looks like a dragon. We got mislead by the promotional stuff lol. While it's issues regarding the actual canon plot of why he went END this is the only one that makes sense. Natsu had Igneel's antibodies in his system so wasn't ever going to turn into a dragon.

yea I kinda had that feeling too when we saw his transformation in the manga his claws kinda looked like dragon claws
even Natsu was shocked after he transformed he didn't know what that was but yet his tumor was fine then though like in dragon cry

But the question remains why mashima not put in the manga?

It could have been the fact that a dragonization or the power of END does not matter.

Genre that natsu in receiving the power of 7 DS its pertube its antibodies and suddenly it transforms but its does not last like in the film.

But suddenly the fight will have been more "" fair "" against acno, its better would have spent its rest damage.

In the animated it would be well if he did that.

It confused me because of what animus said but he didn't care about killing zeref at all when he transformed

Wiki says that end appearance is the same as Natsu's exept with never ending violent flames that scorch everything they touch like when he fought gray and dimaria that was his end power

If i have to assume then he wanted to rise END hype after ruining his all plot and making it pretty pointless, We only got claws END. Very cool.

Animus knowing who END is isn't the problem at all, END is known as Zeref's strongest Etherious. Animus knew Igneel and has been around for over 400 years so it's so easy to connect the dots. He called him the "destroyer of the world" not when he was 5 years old but in X792, idk where you got 5 years old from cause I must of missed that part. The problem is 2 things:

1. How did Natsu trigger END? Lucy's tears woke him up so was it because Sonya get rocked by Animus? or just PoF?
2. How did he trigger END when his demon seed/tumor wasn't enlarged yet by Brandish after Zeref pierced his book?

It's the exact reason why you can't consider this movie fully canon, Hiro never said it was fully canon, he just said it had parts that tied into the main series while it was promoting to tease the climax.

END reacted to Natsu's feelings thats why after he was transforming he left Lucy unharmed even though he thought she was dead and he had some self control usually a demon attack anything they see but Natsu manage to control it

If anything I liked that Lucy ain't see the transformation, made the scene he asked her what he looks like to her a lot much sweeter in context.

I hope for the anime to expand on this more than a 2 minute scene and two small ass flashback panels because off what we know it's contradictory. Zeref got hundreds of chapters worth of development and back info. It's a crime Acnologia didn't even get an 1/8 of that.

he said it to her twice once at the beginning I didn't get it but she was talking about Plue being a dog and thats when Natsu came up close and asked her what does he look like to her I think he was showing abit of jealously there
I even recorded that scene when I saw it lol

and yes the last one was freaking cute just after his battle with Animus he had more of a serious look when he said it to her

This transformation still should be Natsu dragonizing. First of all, the fact that he was called "END" doesn't mean anything. As we know, Natsu's identity in itself is END. Even Zeref called Natsu END in his fight even though Natsu was clearly in base. So the fact that he was called END doesn't mean he was using END's power. It just means that he recognized Natsu when he saw how strong he is. Hell, in the battle against Gray, Natsu looked completely different.
It also makes sense that it was Dragonzing(a.k.a Dragon Force) because:
1)The promotional poster said "Natsu dragonize"
2)The form itself looks like Dragon Force
3)When Natsu used Dragon Force against Zeref only half of his body was in scales, and it's the part that was transformed in the movie. If Mavis wouldn't stop Natsu, we would most likely see this form in action.

Bro trust me you're wrong lol, you should just watch the movie to see what everyone else is seeing. Promotions don't mean anything, him using END power is very dragon-like. Shit, even Mard Geer in his Etherious Form doesn't look too much different than Natsu doesn't he? How can you explain the antibodies in his body? They suddenly just stopped working when Igneel said none of the 5 will turn into a dragon? Not just that, if he really dragonized why would he just go partial transformation when we saw Irene completely transform? It's plot holes regarding the canon timeline of how he accessed END power but it's END, no question about it.

It seemed ne could trigger at will at a death state (I'm guessing he was immortal being tied to Zeref) and his deaths triggered END, like a pheonix, while at a highly emotional state (Lucy giving him memories of his nakama). Now that Igneel left his body, he could use that form?
