Gray's offense and speed is on par with END's, who murked Dimaria. He's out of God Serena's league.

Technically speaking, Gray at least tied with Invel in their fight.

Invel never had the upper-hand, and Gray was holding his own just fine. They traded blows equally and Invel even mentioned to Gray that he had potential to defeat END, which is why he even tried to recruit Gray in the first place.

It wasn't until Brandish interfered into the fight and distracted Gray that the whole "asspull" plot started. Invel took a cheap shot and seized the opportunity to catch Gray with Ice Lock when he had his back turned.

And Juvia being there just made it worse for Gray.

Because she was so clingy, Invel decided to Ice Lock both of them - that way, one of them would have to die in order for the other to live.

Gray's "darkness mode" or whatever you want to call it is still his own power. That's just his full power when he is serious. And at the end of the day, Gray easily wrecked Invel while only in base form.

He wasn't tied and that's just facts. Invel locked him up and could've ended him there but wanted him to kill Juvi.

Doesnt matter, God Serena is a water dragon slayer, not an ice dragon slayer. He isnt immune to Gray's ice unless he melts it first.

Titania, Queen of the Fairies, a character so divisive among the fandom, whose fights strike terror into the hearts of many readers, or so I’ve heard. But to be honest, I personally don’t mind Erza’s fights nor her shtick about friendship to the max. Sure there are moments that leave you a little dizzy for lack of better word, but that’s part of the package when you have a character who is devoted to her comrades with a strong sense of justice. Because of the nature of her fights and inconsistencies that arise, particularly when you consider the events of the final arc, there is bound to be some disagreement, but 8th is a solid position in my opinion.


BEST ARMORS
Requip allows Erza the ability to access many armors and weapons that give her insane flexibility in combat, and despite Erza being able to use magical spells while wearing the armor of her choice, I chose to focus on the armors themselves instead, since the constant cycling of armors Erza has utilized throughout the series is far more present than the utilization of spells.

Robe of Yuen

Amazing design that resembles traditional Asian attire (kimono) with elastic properties.

Wingblade Armor

This armor surrounds Erza with swords that act as a shield while also inflicting damage on the opponent without the need for direct contact.

Wind God Armor

Simply because of the design.

Again, only because of the design.

WORST ARMOR
There is only one choice for this category, and it should be painfully obvious.

Clear Heart Clothing
Technically it isn’t an armor, but the repetitive use of Clear Heart in every arc and in every major fight has been disappointing. Mashima has given us some great designs throughout the series, but why he continues to only fixate on Clear Heart for Erza all the time instead of giving us something new is beyond me. I mean, he did give us that Bunny Armor or whatever in the Irene fight, but she still ended the fight in Clear Heart. Erza has hundreds of armors, use something else



BEST FIGHT

Erza Scarlet vs Azuma

The ending aside, I actually liked the fight, since Erza had through cycle through her armors and couldn’t gain any sort of ground against Azuma, plus she was fighting for the sake of the guild, with its members being sapped of strength due to the Tenrou Tree falling. I know she fights for her nakama every fight, but this was the one fight where her victory meant everyone could continue fighting. The fight was an enjoyable read/watch imo, but if you dislike it, I can understand that.

Plus the ending wasn’t that bad now, was it?

Erza Scarlet vs Ajeel Ramal

The first real Spriggan fight of the Alvarez arc, which actually turned out to be one of the best. There was no POF overload, and while both fighters were handicapped in some way or form, the fight was a nice back and forth with Erza getting the best of Ajeel once Marin's restriction was undone, before Ajeel took over the fight with Sand World, where a good display of teamwork allowed Bisca to shoot the Jupiter Cannon at Ajeel where he was then finished off with Nakagami Starlight. None of the scandalous moments we have in the Neinhart, Kyoka, or Irene fights, just a good brawl with teamwork and the villain actually putting in a good performance. Until 521 happened.



WORST FIGHT & WORST MOMENT
As controversial as the Kyoka fight is, I was never really invested in the fight because it was occurring at the same time as things I felt were more interesting, so while the no senses stuff was too much, I was just glad the fight was over. And while I don’t get all that bothered by her POF, this fight down below and that moment were just too egregious for me to not give a crap about.

BEST MOMENT

Pandemonium
The anime did this event more justice than the manga did, but nonetheless, this was Erza at her peak. With some of the monsters even said to be Wizard Saint level(back when the title still had some prestige) she goes on to defeat all 100 monsters inside the castle, with Levy giving a rather decent monologue on how Erza created a day that no one would ever forget, pretty fitting moment considering Fairy Tail had become fodder over the 7 year time-skip, this was that statement that said we're back! Not to mention that Erza was a rather famous wizard in the beginning of the series, so it went hand in hand with the rep she had built since becoming S-Class.

BEST RELATIONSHIPS

Erza Scarlet & Jellal Fernandes

Whether you like the ship or not, isn’t really the point. While Erza does like to fanboy good ol’ Natsu, I won’t hold it against her, since everyone else does too. But her relationship with Jellal is like a rollercoaster of emotions, with highs, lows, and everything else in between. Jellal has done good and bad by her, so people will make of it what they will. But anyway, no denying that they share a deep relationship, love it or hate it.

Erza Scarlet & Kagura Mikazuchi

That moment was cringe since it ridicules Kagura in my opinion, but after clearing the air over Simon, Kagura and Erza have adopted the sister dynamic, with Kagura herself asking Erza to be a sister for her. After the GMG, they honestly don’t have much interaction though, they were together in Hargeon but that was overshadowed by the Jellal-Kagura subplot.


Erza Scarlet & Wendy Marvell

Another sister dynamic, Erza was the one who asked Wendy to join Fairy Tail and while they did have some interactions here and there, nothing really developed until the Alvarez Arc, unfortunately their bond was overshadowed by their actions in the war lol.

She made it Higher in this Ranking then expected by some,i remember some Posts saying early after the Start that Erza shouldn't make it into the Top 10 at all,well to that i can only disagree actually as Nonsensical as her Feats may seem to some People or not they are legit Feats from the Manga and can be taken into Consideration for when you give her the Rating, while i may not be a Huge Erza Fan or anything the like i have to admit that her Spot in the Top 10 isn't some Mistake imo. going by her Feats Erza is easily one of the most Impressive FT Mages out there for me wether i liked her moments or not.
Her Fight with Irene was solid for me as was the Ajeel Battle actually,despite the Broken Bones Stuff and the Difference in MP i really didn't care for that i enjoyed the Fights.
Her Top Fight for me was probably against Azuma from the Seven Kin of Purgatory.

Anyway,very nice Post @Gryffindor i liked reading it and i agree to the Worst Fight/Moment and the Best Fight as well as i said before.
I think the next one out will be either Jellal or Laxus actually,an Unpopular guess being Dimaria once more.

Tf. How is ERZA out?!?! Did u guys not see her monstrous feats in this arc? This chic can literally endure anything. Even though her battles were kinda bs but we can't just straight up ignore her feats. She slashed the meteor with broken bones and also guys she fcking pushed acno into the ship. What has jellal done in this arc which surpasses erza in any way? He pushed acno back but erza also did the same with better efficiency. Jellal outspeeded acno but even Christina, exceeds, Mira and erza were able to do that. The only nice feat jellal had was imo, the barrier he put up to defend erza which was actually nice and showed his potential. Im not in any way downplaying jellal or anything but i just can't see what jellal has done better than erza in this arc. Sure her feats didnt make sense but that still happened.
