How does that even make sense?! Can't believe people go by their hate for a character to rate a ship so low that should definitely make it to the top. If I known that, I ought to be petty like everyone else and throw out 1s instead of being considerate on some pairs that I really didn't care for.

Wow, Nalu didnt even make the top 10? I hate Natsu as much as anybody, but this ship was definitely top 5 material. Im with Jko, i shouldve thrown out 1's every chance i got like everyone else is apparently doing. GrayXLucy beat this ship lol, the hate for Natsu has really dragged this poor ship through the dirt.

I don't know to surprise or not that NaLu got such many 11. From one side too many people voted for them bc they are MC, but from another side not less people hate them.

I personally see their relationship as being more platonic and familial than romantic, especially on Natsu's side. It's still really surprising that the main pairing of Fairy Tail didn't even make the top ten.

Besides, I'm not sure if Natsu and Lucy can be called main pairing when they've mostly been made by fans and aren't exactly canon, not like Gray and Juvia or Gajeel and Levy, who actually had a confession from both sides.

As i said i'm not a NaLu fan i much prefer Jerza or Gajevy for instance, but i'm surprised people are still saying that there's no romance between Natsu and Lucy.
The friendzone moment from Natsu at the end only proved how much of a dummy Natsu is, and how he's oblivious when it comes to love. But you're blinding yourself if you think Natsu likes Lucy only as a friend.
And Lucy's romantic feelings for Natsu are painfully obvious.
I understand the hate and how Natsu's behaviour can be annoying (it annoyed me, as much as it made me laugh). But it is no different than Gruvia, with Gray not revealing his feelings for the majority of the manga. Gotta read between the lines.

In any case, NaLu didn't deserve 1's imo, nor did it deserve such a bad place. As already said, freaking GrayLu and LoLu are still in this. Let's assume you guys are right and there's no romance between Natsu and Lucy, how is there romance between her and Gray? And Natsu and Lucy share a stronger bond than Lucy and Gray.

It's whatever though. I'm scared for the rest of the ranking, now that i know how fucked up it can be.

When did I say romance? I said they are the most developed relationship in the manga. Their relationship as whole (not just one aspect) is clearly the most developed. There's no denying that.

Also if you think they're lacking romance you can watch Dragon Cry or look at their more deeper moments in the manga. Their relationship had blatant romantic undertones.

I think what could be more shocking then Nalu being eliminated before top 10 is Gruvia, Jerza, and Gale being eliminated next. Though I think Gajeel/Levy will make it to the top 10 or top 5 but that's my opinion.

Lol NALU is far more popular ship of FT and lot more than jerzza, gruvia and gale. Just google the ships on the you tube, FB and twitter and you will find it. Nalu is the poster ship of this series.

Still a far better ship than graylu and lolu. Care to explain when was the last time when lucy had any good conversation with gray and loke, let alone any romantic moment. Lolu may be over back in loke arc or in festival of FT arc but once aries came into the pitcher it was over. Nalu may not be totally romantically developed but only a mentally retarded person will rank graylu over nalu which has happened in this case. Well I just hope gruvia is ranked higher than it coz it is very well developed.

You my friend definitely put it right, heck even the only conversation b/w lucy and gray post TS was also for natsu's sake. Well I could have agreed gruvia being placed higher than nalu but to think graylu and lolu being placed higher definitely is rubbish. I just hope it doesn't beat gruvia though.

By that logic Gruvia are only fuck buddies. Gray said her body is his, meaning he only sees her as a piece of ass. He never said he loved Juvia.

In my opinion, this shipping rate has never been to rank the ships from best to worse but to rank them from least preferred to most preferred among the community here. This is because I don't really think there is such a thing as the 'best' or worse 'ships' because a ship is the definition of subjective opinion. I can't conclusively say that a ship with the most interactions and development is superior to a ship with minimal interactions because a ship is as good as you believe it to be. I don't think you could say "this ship is better than that ship because it is more canon and has more moments." A relationship between two people can be really strong but that doesn't matter if you personally find their interactions dull or find that they lack romantic chemistry. If someone doesn't find the interactions between Natsu and Lucy interesting then the amount of time focused on their relationship might even further compel them to give NaLu a low score. To conclude, I think the quality of a ship is strictly opinion based and not ranked objectively based on quantity of interactions, how close it is to canon, or the amount of development involved.

Jerza should be high no doubt, but gruvia should be much higher than gajevy since they are much developed ship than gajevy. If I was a writer I would have made gruvia canon if given a choice of making any one ship canon. That scene at the end of tartaros pure gold.
