I'm a huge fan of HxH, manga (although it's very slow with many many hiatuses) and the anime, the second one specially
Tokyo Ghoul I've read the first 2 chapters but didn't like it all that much, so I stopped there.
I started Attack on Titans recently, still the first few episodes
Jo Jo ........ I don't know this one, is it good??

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure- will try the anime. You can thank @GrySun for that
Hunter X Hunter- of course I'm caught up of one of the best shonens out there.

Much of the dark themes are psychological in nature as the series touches on insanity, loss of humanity, morals and all that. There is a lot of violence but it's usually not too bad. It's there to make a point of two species that refuse to coexist basically. Things are huge in the manga right now as well.

I personally believe thst you'll like Tokyo Ghoul. It's a Dark Fantasy but nowhere near as dark as say Berserk. Much of the dark themes are psychological in nature as the series touches on insanity, loss of humanity, morals and all that. There is a lot of violence but it's usually not too bad. It's there to make a point of two species that refuse to coexist basically. Things are huge in the manga right now as well.

For Tokyo Ghoul, if it doesn't have heavy sexual themes, then I'm fine with almost anything.
