Bozebeats lacks real development. At least in the first chapter the author just throws ideas without worrying about the build up.
I didn't care at all about the death of Mama Wolf.

Holy shit, Neverland was born under a lucky star.

I personally found Actage disappointing. I lost all interest when they revealed the protagonist to be emotionless. Because apparently having no personality of her own makes it easy to become another person :-_-. The whole thing felt a bit cringy to me, and the art was all over the place consistency-wise. And more than anything, the author hasn't really tried to make the premise interesting. Someone predicted it might be like Soma given the unique premise and all. Well this felt like if Soma was just attending any old cooking school and there weren't any shokugeki's or foodgasms to be had... I'm sure we all know how that would've gone down... Either way, feels terribly out of place in Jump.

I'm not sure about Bozebeats right now. I feel like they should've waited a few chapters before getting into another conflict, to introduce the world and other characters and stuff. Having a conflict this chapter didn't really accomplish anything story-wise, and felt like a bit of a waste of time. I guess it humanised him a bit and faintly introduced the other dude, but it wasn't really necessary to dedicate an entire chapter to that alone. I am enjoying MC's personality though, and having wolf traits gives a nice chuckle here and there. Don't feel like the series has shown us enough to pass judgement on it yet.

Funny, I am Nero in this picture.
After me looking at Asta with his huge *ss grin, and also after reading the second chapter of Bozebeat.
.... which means, that Asta is @SharkBait, because he clearly liked the 2nd chapter then. Interesting.

So, someone else brought this to my attention, and I thought I'd pose the question here. How does Neverland handle merchandising? In their words; "How do you sell Neverland stuff? You don't have a cute mascot, a stud or a waifu character. What do you go with?"

Once the anime is released, what's the marketing hook, exactly?

Another sign of the explosive popularity of BLack Clover, this is going to be amazing.

Cute art.

Chibi designs Emma, and the characters in different fantasy/fairy tale inspired outfits.

Not hard to imagine.

Your complaints seem to be things that exist in a lot of manga. A lot of them being successful battle manga.

I agree that Bozebeats isn’t really that remarkable, but more so because it’s just a typical exocism manga so far. Not particularly because of a lot of the stuff you mention. Although I do find the idea of monks using modern weapons interesting
And all that plane stuff is just a copy of Jojo’s bizarre adventure part 3 (?) in which a stand messes their plane travel a bit

Is there truly anything that is actually "wholly original" in literary media anymore? I think anyone can amass a huge assortment of action scenes on a plane set pieces.

Yea because Araki invented the idea of someone (enemy) hijacking an airplane? I love jojo just as much as the next guy but this is ridiculous lol.

So HxH Vol. 34 in color releases on January 29th and I am stoked. To no surprise Yonkou already has it lol:
Use a spoiler tag for anime only's

JJBA is definitely iconic, but it hasnt invented action scenes on planes.
... though I would love to hear, when the director of Snakes On A Plane admits he was inspired by the plane/grey tower arc from JoJo.

Have you seen the demons in TPN?
They look dope. I would buy tons of figures of Grandduke Luvis and Sun-Jin!

Look up mahoutsukai no yome elias figure to see how they handle monsters figure.

Toriko doesn't even have a Rin figure yet its merchandise still sell when it was at prime. So they could do a lots of things

Figures : 3 main kids, Mama, etc..
Cute stuff: Chibi version of the kids, especially Phil

Plushies of the author/artist like the picture above.

When all failed, whip out Sister Krone.

I dont understand the spoiler marking of HxH in a Jump Manga thread of a chapter that was published ages ago. Saying anime only is weird too, when its not like we even know the anime is ever returning.

How long something goes before it isn't a spoiler anymore aside, discussion on HxH (and especially super niche stuff like colored volumes) is irrelevant to this thread and should not be posted here.

Didn't they have Neverland "human soup" at Jump Festa? A theme of the manga is eating humans so a cannibalism cooking book is something they could do.

I don't think she is emotionless, though. Her love towards her siblings and her sadness regarding her family life are genuine. The way in which she sulked after being rejected, as well. To me, it simply feels as if she has psychological issues that manifest as a level of detachment from reality. I think that's what makes the premise interesting: Kei is protagonist that legitimately needs psychiatric help and not just a meme MAD MAN like HxH's Gon.

The negative relation between method acting and psychological health is a real thing:

And one of the most famous examples would be the legendary Heath Ledger who is also known as the GOAT Joker.
