WSJ cancelling series is more to the tune of 3-5 volumes, because it didn't sell much or failed to gain a following. Sure, Nisioisin's name probably carried more weight with editors than some random rookie author, but saying it was shit/cancelled and it lasting for 4 years, selling 5+ million copies doesn't really go together.

Yeah, it doesn't really go together. But it still happens, mostly because WSJ wants to extend it and that fails (like Eyeshield 21 for example), but Shaman King is a great example of a long-running cancellation for example. even though it sales declined, it was still a popular and loved series.

Since I’m competitive I do have to let out some frustration sometimes But it’s mostly «nooo» «whyyyy». ‘-‘
