It's fun to play a social character for once. I usually play angry barbarians or snob rangers.

My first manga was Akira, but I didn't know it as manga then. For me back then it was just some adult comic in the library, that seemed a bit too much for me after some early pages. Somebody probably should have told me not to wonder to the graphic novel shelf.

For my actual first manga, I think was Dragonball. Detective Conan and One Pice following shortly.

Dragon Ball had very small volumes over here, those came out bi-weekly. I had them all.. Never payed for a single one. :teehee

After realizing what 'manga' was, I read Naruto first, One Piece second. After catching up on both animes.

I wouldn't know what would legit be my first anime. There's a lot of "Dutch" anime out there.

But again, once I found out what it was, Naruto and One Piece were the first I watched (although I dropped OP several times). Although I started searching for 'anime' because I saw Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuihokuhen and well.. a lot of drama, but more importantly more blood.

Then I started off with some great ones like Witch Hunter Robin, Speed Grapher and Wolf's Rain (and a shitload of ecchi's like Mouse, He is My Master and more). Followed by brutal ones like Ninja Scroll etc.

Before I started watching 'anime', I already saw great stuff like Cowboy Bebop, Akira, Perfect Blue etc. And of course, all the Dutch and French produced ones and the mainstream ones like Gundam, CC Sakura, Sailor Moon, DBZ etc.

Hmm, well for anime my first one were the Europe produced but done in Japan stuff, like Moomin or Alfred J Kwak. Also saw Totoro and Porco Rossi as a child.

In my teens when I knew what anime was consciously, my first series were like Naruto, Bleach, OP, Trigun, FMA, Bebop and Hellsing

Yeah, exactly. Those. Alfred J. Kwak still one of my favorites. :nod Best one of the Dutch ones for sure. And the EU ones in general, maybe. Moomin is excellent stuff too.

I don't know if I saw any Ghibli films as a kid, but I did see most Satoshi Kon movies. :lmao
Spirited Away came out very fast on television here, got mad reruns weekly, so I saw that one a lot.

I was like 5 or 6 when I saw Totoro. It was the best thing ever then. And kinda still is.
