Porco Rosso, Spirited Away and Nausicaä are probably my most rewatched “for myself” (now it’s probably Totoro at #1 after watching it with my son so many times... but that’s the Swedish dub..)

It’s so hard to rank the Ghibli films... it really depends on the mood or situation which ones are more favorite than others. Spirited Away is my go-to answer for favorite overall film of all time though so that’s always #1 (and yeah I just gave away my last film in the Top 10 event). Porco Rosso and Mononoke probably make in the top 5 as well. The last two spots are ever-changing.

For me the first anime that I ever watched was digimom but if we are talking about my serious watch that made me start liking anime then it's either code geass or angel beats ( forgot wgo I watched first )
And for my first manga then it was tsubasa chronicle.

You never watched Nausicaa?
I've seen everything Ghibli has created, except for Totoro, Kaguya and Mononoke.

Do you not know how to read?

Yeah, it really depends on your mood, Spirited Away and Nausicaa are fucking great movies, definitely worth every praise they get. But the ones I mentioned reflect me as a person a bit more. I guess.

Honestly out of the three you haven’t watched I’d say the priority goes
1. Mononoke
2. Kaguya
3. Totoro

But that’s just me.

I’d almost put Kaguya and Mononoke both in the #1 spot actually. Kaguya is a friggin’ fantastic 10/10 film, just like Mononoke.

That's exactly the order I wanted to watch them too. :nod Although my priority for Kaguya/Totoro switched a lot.

True Kaguya is amazing. It kinda felt different than the usual Ghibli movies, but it's a masterpiece nonetheless.

Well even as a fan, I do admit that :lmao
Don't get me wrong, I really like the movie, but ... :bored

I’d say it’s second most flawed, only to Earthsea.
Nah, Earthsea (how much I wanted to like it) is just a bad movie.

Howl is a good movie with a lot of fucking flaws.

That's pretty interesting. How is it flawed to you? :?bunny

Hah I guess you’re right. I loved Howl’s the first time I watched it but upon rewatches I’ve noticed less new things I find amazing and more things that bug me. Earthsea was just a disappointment from first viewing.

I don't even get credit for watching EVERY THING ELSE that Ghibli has ever created... :emocat
Everything?

To be honest, you probably don't get credit because it's really not that impressive a feat, all things considered.

To my knowledge, yes. Even that old booze commercial, yes.

Then perhaps it is more impressive.

Odd to watch all their old commercials, but not all their films, however...

I watched most films random, and those shorts, commercials etc are more accesible due to time, compared to movies.

And for the three films I missed, I always wanted my first 'watch' to be with a certain person, and usually those persons where the reasons the delaying.
After a while I forget to watch them myself too.

Next anime movie we're going to watch will be Ghost in the Shell, then Mononoke and the other two Ghibli.

Not Ghibli, but I think the next [anime] film I'm gonna watch is Sword of the Stranger...
It's not an amazing film, but I do enjoy it - and, what with all the Champloo I've been watching recently, I'm in the mood for a good serious(ish) anime samurai film

... someone really needs to animate Vagabond...
