Bloody hate dealing with Janitors. Shapeshifter is a tough role to adjust to, but I suppose there's not much gain in theorizing that currently.

Van I kinda noticed that after demon changed vote to Spirit in the last minute, you tried to nonchalantly get Farf to switch to Gary as well. That seems weird, Cos though your vote was locked on Gary, not sure there was anything definitive to make you want someone else switch. Didn't seem like much at the time, and I didn't even see it then, but considering Spirit turned out to be boss, it does seem iffy. You also voted for spirit initially, and between them and when you switched to Gary (when spirit was now among the top votes), I'm not sure there was any substantial reason to switch targets at that point.

So Wyis got 2 random votes (Zasz and Marma) and one from Arjuna that followed our exchange with Wyis (mine and Gry's?). A nail in the conffin from someone trying to save himself (Demon). That alone doesn't show us much... But Holt could have a point there now.
About the other death, Gryff's, the most noticeable thing regarding him in this game might be his argument with Arjuna... so I think that's worth mentioning.

Gryff also said that he found Asako suspicious. There was something with Juviii too who was mad because he voted her even though he invited her to play. It's not much but still.

The thing with first night lynches is that mafia sometimes chooses people who have beef with someone so they can drive the conversation the next day towards those people.

Looking into the spirit lynch could provide more info. Demon's last minute vote change makes sense since he wanted to save himself, not much to throw against him either. The random votes are of course not very helpful but still something to take note of for later if patterns become visible.

So, the worst scenario is:

Gryff was Townie.
The Shapeshifter succeeded.
A Townie has been poisoned.

There‘s also a Santa possibility, it‘s always easy to add a Santa to a role list because he‘s an extra party that doesn‘t kill.
And if you wanna have an even worse scenario, the relic could be on a mafia/third party now. I tend to assume these things start on a townie, so whoever had it hopefully gave it to another town.

At the very least we don‘t have to worry about the Shuffler changing all roles and alignments around.

True. We could put ourselves in that guy‘s shoes. He is immune from all mafia kills as long as he hides behind the correct targets, so who would he target? Inactive people, or newbies? It would take much bravery, or stupidity, to hide behind an active guy or someone with certain role hints.

At any rate the Illusion dies next night right? We‘ll be able to tell by that death what kind of player is the Shapeshifter, his mindset etc. Likely on an inexperienced person if the illusion ends up being a risky target?

About Van, I have been wondering about his actions too. He locked his vote to cause a mass tie for whichever reason. I‘d have to go back and see who his first vote guy was before he switched for the tie.

At any rate I highly doubt Farf, Demon, Arjun and others who had an unlocked vote and was online at the end to be red mafias, at the very least.

No. Unless he suddenly improved his act a lot from how he usually is as town/mafia, I think it‘s very safe to say that Arjun is a townie. He even thought he would die so he made a post with all his suspects for when he shows town.

At least I don‘t see myself suspecting him without some slip up or a det result, he very much feels like a townie.

Though Gryff did have something going on with Juviii, and let‘s not forget about Asako too.

In fact I‘d usually be voting Demon again or voting Asako, but I won’t be so hasty with my vote this time.

When I actually ranked my suspicions among those 4, I said Demon was still my top one, Gary after, and that maybe I'd tie Wyis with him. My brainfart was due to the locked votes discussion, and that's why later I said I had no preferences among those 3 - and even during my brainfart I talked from a Demon perspective, not mine. So I do think Holt's point is interesting, it could have been some baiting.

I also think from the previous day the suspicions on Arjuna were weak. Still, I won't ignore options, better have them mentioned since later we need to check patterns.

The only active townie roles I remember him having were Politician and Det. The pool of options is still quite big. Maybe they thought he was doctor, but it's still quite the random guess.
