Damn... so close to reaching 100 chaps but Jump said "NOPE! AXE FOR YOU !"
Nah, Mx0 wasn't axed if you read the author comments and afterwords.

If anything, they forced Yasuhiro to keep it going even though he wanted it to end at volume 6.

I remember Enigma in 2010. I really liked Enigma. At least it lasted like 40 chapters if I recall well.
Enigma was good but it was so obvious the author had not remotely thought about the plot after the main premise was solved and it went to shit in like two chapters flat.

edit: was that really in 2010 fuck I feel old now

it's not fan book, it's an actual artbook. This was released in January 2016, so the anime.

Thanks, it was posted recently so thought it was recent. I like seeing other artists draw characters from their colleagues' series. Also never change Yabuki.

Illegal Rare was solid. It was super disappointing when it got axed especially after it got a CP 10 chapters in or something.
The saddest I've been with a cancellation has to be Beelzebub. I wish they stuck to the comedy in that series because it was so fucking good. Hungry Marie was really funny as well. But I can see why it didn't hold on. It lacked the charm that Beelzebub had in many ways. But damn, Tamura knows how to do humor. I want his next series to do well, whenever that may be. He's a rare comedic genius.

Beelezebub was the best, (and canon BL even, cause OgaFuriichi), butbeyond that it had awesome action and comedy and the plot made you care for every character immensely. Its sad something of that caliber tied around school has yet to be replicated in JUMP since then. Jujutsu appears to be the closest thing but its not really comedy.

Beelzebub had so much potential too...
Sure it was best at comedy, but I even loved the battle arcs.
Furuichi had just plot gotten purpouse, and I dug the final battle arc that could have opened the door to so much more.
At least we got the Gaiden which brought us back to demon world and tied up a lot of loose ends giving us a really good ending as a result.

The ones that really hurt me were Mitsukubi Condor and Yoakemono, those seriously had potential, hope for both authors to came back with something fresh

Fingers crossed that Tamura´s next one shot can really become a thing

Don't remind me of Beelzebub and the goodness of Hilda

Was Yoakemono the one where the mangaka posted more art on twitter? I always did find those drawings great.
But to be fair, Yoakemono debuted alongside MHA. It was up against a beast which had a very solid start.

There are only less than 20 places for all these mangaka waiting to be published. What are they doing this time? do they work

Some of them are probably assistants, some give up, some try some other jobs that involve art and some are serialized somewhere else.

Edit: And there are some that are preparing for their next serialization, in WSJ or somewhere else.

Funny thing is that at the time many were excited with Yoakemono because the author was a former Oda assistant, and not so much with MHA, because of the giant hype-flop called Sensei no Bulge.
