MangaHelpers Summer Art Contest ~ MH Flag Design​

Hello and welcome to the second seasonal art contest for this year. To continue the series of special contests, we have a MH Flag Design Contest.

Your task is to design a flag that would represent Manga Helpers, selecting and developing the patterns and colors for it. Joining the spirit of the World Cup, we're looking for a design that represents our home! And as special bonus, just like it happens in all seasonal contests, the winner will be awarded with the Summer Badge!

What do I need to know before submission?

• All members are welcome to join the contest. There is no minimum post or user status you need to have to participate.
• Entries for the contest must be posted in this thread.
• Each participant can only submit ONE ENTRY and it should be a new piece.
• Entries have to be uploaded to MH's Gallery. If you have any problem with the format, please contact @Farfalla and/or @DiMaria Yesta about it.
• Submissions not following the weeks theme will result in disqualification. If you have any question about the contest, you can ask it [HERE].
• All the graphics used in your piece must be fully original, so the contests aren't allowed to use designs they found somewhere else.
• The Flag dimensions should be 600 x 350 pixels.
• Forum Rules are applied unless stated otherwise.
• No excessive, suggestive, spoiler, or porn-related imagery in the contest.
• No plagiarizing is allowed.
• Submission is open until July 8th, at 23:00 (GMT)

Panda + stars were drawn with Draw.io online tool everything else + coloring edited with lunapic.

Managed somewhow to make something that looks like a panda, wanted to add something instead of the jolly bones but eventually just did some basical sticks to avoid to make a too fussy pic considering the panda might aready be too much but couldnt help making some cute panda thing ^^

Hope its ok as a submission, i dont know if figures/animal sketch or stuff like that are allowed.

I used GIMP and Photoscape to make this rather plain and simple Flag,created a Blank Page Picture with GIMP and added the Pink and Blue Colors to it after creating separate Layers where i added the before mentioned Colors to and then simply copy pasted it together,also to color the "Stars" which were added with Photoscape's Tool "Textbox" and it's Font "Symbols" where you simply say for example "L" and get a symbol such as these Stars instead of the actual Letter. It's pretty fun to experiment with the different Symbols going by my own experience.

I decided to go with this Color Scheme and Design because i thought it catches the "World Cup Spirit" mentioned in the Description above quite well,as for the Colors i decided to go with those because they're the colors in "mangahelpers"-Logo with the "manga" being a lighter blue and the "helpers" having usually Pink as its color.
I personally think it's fitting for this Theme and chose to run with it.

NOTE: I use a rather old version of Photoscape so i do not know wether the Font "Symbols" still exists in its newer Versions or not so please don't hold it against me for not knowing it in case somebody asks me for Infos on it.

I hope you all enjoy the flag. It was hard to pick which two colors I'd like to put in, but decided to choose these in the end. It was simple, yet pretty to look at, at least for me.

Wanted to participate, so I made this. It's a sort of fireworks-y themed flag, using manga speed lines (in MH colors) on a dark blue background (which ended up looking nearly black, but oh well, it's something. ).
