Mag Talk Weekly Shonen Jump [2018] - Discussion and TOC Talk

[De La Croissant]

Alice and Taiyo left me indifferent because it was too rushed.

Spoiler

I'm a lonely MC >Hey, I'm Alice, let's play together! >No, thank you. >Pleeease! >Hum, you know what? I changed my mind! >Yay! >And the Grammy goes to... > I'm no longer a lonely MC.

[Heiji]

My bad. So :
In february 2 (2018) : 15,000,000 (print) for novel,manga, spin-off 4-koma & vigilante
In may 28 (2018) : 15,674,839 (sales) for just manga

So the only logic is : 15 000 000 its for volume 1-17 + novel + spin-off 4-koma + spin-off vigilent.

Looks like the Captain Tsubasa anime will have an english dub on TV before there's any legal english subs. Is there some reason Viz is just sitting on the licence doing nothing? I don't remember them doing it for any other jump series.

Toei also did do World Trigger on Primo TV, so it isnt unprecendented for a dub to be shown exclusively there and not placed online.

I dont think putting it on tv and dubbing it is equivalent to *viz sitting on it* though.

[ChocoBar9]

Well its....something. A shame so many people are missing out on this great remake.

[tirakai]

Viz doesn't have broadcasting rights so they are just sitting on it. They have streaming and home release rights.

also World Trigger had a simulcast on crunchy, Tsubasa currently has no legal way for English speakers to see the jp audio version with subs.

I'm shocked Momiji is still that high. I thought it would've ended up around where Act-Age is. I don't like seeing Act-Age in the bottom 3 though, especially under the first ranking of Invade You. Hopefully it climbs back up a bit in the next issue. Invade You premiered right about where I expected it to be though

Is Issue 33 going to be an extra long issue, or are some series going to be absent for an issue?

[Nemesis]

Just saw now but it's very nice to see Jujutsu Kaisen not bombing on it's first volume

[Tamil]

So, I just watched the OVA of Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san.
I loved.
If the anime has the same quality of the OVA, the anime will be very good.

The OVA was pretty good but what was so special about the quality? There wasn't a lot of animation to begin with and the anime designs aren't nearly as good as the manga.

[OfficialHxH]

Seiji Tanaka chapter 1 is up free to read on the shonen jump app. Probably will be on http://viz.com a little later.
