LOL so it really was a loose glove. Congrats to whomever got it right. Strange though i mean with Ippo's thick head he should not be stopped by something like that. Wonder what were the coach's instructions to Ippo though. Bat his jabs away? or just keep doing the rushing and stepping in?

guys,this is an amazing manga!i myself is not a boxing fan,i barely even know anything about it.but all of sudden,i get info about this sport and the way this manga elaborated it,it was so alive,looks like u are watching the real person..but sadly,coz in my place,this is not a really popular sport..

A JOLT! is a punch with all your bodyweight behind it. So anyone can really do JOLT's, Miyata is just especially talented and crazy as he uses his JOLT! as a counter.

Date's hook he was going to finish off Martinez could also be considered a JOLT!

As for Ippo's new move... yeah it has to be something to the body. He has enough headshots with the Jofre Uppercut, Smash, Dempsey Roll, Dempsey 360 and Gazelle Punch.

For the body he has the Tekken-Lite and the Liver Blow.. he needs something else..

The Tekken-Lite is the one he uses when he's 10cm away from the opponent isn't it?

I do think Ippo has the weapons to do the job just needs to work his body harder to improve his already lethal moves. Increase in speed durability and power are probably top on the coach's list. Improved dashing and footspeed to chase down people plus more compact body hits maybe?

That should be effective enough.

I would like to see him use the infinite dempsey roll where he adds in an uppercut to it when his body can handle it.
