I mean there usually is a list of titles getting reprints with priority. Last posted was when MHA getting all reprints for all volume (I think it was for the last week of October)...

So in 3 days (Friday to Sunday) Act Age sell ~22,000 copies. So there is a chance it will get chart next week right? HYPE . Otherwise the 300k copies in print/4 volumes do not add up lol.

next (this) week is a a pretty slow week, so it have a non zero chance for the top 50, but definitely can get into the top 100, most likely will be gone the week after that though, since that is stacked (sunday+ magazine +young jump)

stores out of stock would imply copies are being sent in from warehouses though.

I won't issue a reprint if I still have (a lot of )copies in the warehouses,

but then again, I do need to keep the warehouses full somehow...

Saying "copies in circulation" doesnt say "copies sitting in consumers hands" so it is understood that copies are sitting in retailers warehouses in addition to copies on store shelves.

Youre not only going to order additional copies from Shueisha when your warehouse stock hits 0.

By and large it's an accepted trueism of retail that you buy more when you think you'll be running out by the time the new copies arrive, unless you're intending to stop stocking an item

true, FOMO is a big point for most marketing.

even if they issued an urgent reprint, they would still need to stock the warehouses because that is the likely center for distributions .

It would be stupid to order a reprint AFTER everything is sold out, and the issued one won't be hitting the shelf immediately either. they just need to keep the flow going

But being sold out also mean that they could not quite match the demand.



they still need to issue a slightly larger reprint for act-age since they printed volume 1, 7 times already.

Im going to be sad when the America versions one will change the SJ logo on the spine to the one they use for jump square series. I might have to rebuy any viz jump reprints just for consistency
