Europe allows you bottles up to 100ml, so they let my 75ml bottle through in germany and in portugal. But when I went back from Recife they were talking stuff in portuguese and then threw it away

We allow 100ml as well, but the bottle has to be transparent and sealed. I think that if the security level in the airport is raised for any reason, they become more strict about those quantities tho. Dunno if you're bottles were transparents or if they had any incident in Recife, tho. Just in case, I rather have bottles and food packages in the luggages I dispatch. They don't use xray for those in most of our airports lol.

It was a deodorant, don‘t remember anymore if it was transparent but think it was, though blue colored. If germany and portugal let it through as a liquid then brazil should‘ve too Sadly none of the workers there could speak english, so was confusing what they were saying, but didn‘t allow it through for some reason.

I tend to never dispatch luggage, more expensive + more complicated. So try to bring everything I need in the trusty trolley + backpack combo.

Hmmm as I said, we also allow the 100ml, it's a national law in here as well. But I think it was either the case of the bottle not being transparent or that they had an issue there (like a bomb report - which is more common than what we believe to be, since, say, any bag/package without an owner inside an airport is considered as a potential bomb). Wtv raises the security lvl in an airport has nothing to do with standard and global laws, the airports will simply temporarily become more strict due to it and change the margings they work with.

As i work in the airport, comes in handy knowing that. Sometimes the ones informed are kind ones and give those thing they cannot travel with... like lots of wine or champagne

Hm, Idk how things are in Chile, but here's what the Brazilian agency says about forbidden items:
"11) líquidos inflamáveis, tais como gasolina, etanol, metanol, óleo diesel e fluido de isqueiro; 12) aerossóis e atomizadores, exceto os de uso médico ou de asseio pessoal"
Translation:
"11) flammable liquids, such as gasoline, ethanol, methanol, diesel oil and lighter fluid;
12) aerosol cans and atomizers, other than those for medical or personal hygiene purposes"

Even though it's a flammable liquid, since it's for personal hygiene purpose the deodorant should have been allowed in normal conditions.
