Earlier he literally praised Black Clover for keeping the page count lower when necessary in the same post as complaining about MHA for doing it.
I was quite sure I mentioned that Tabata was justified in it as the chapters that were short had larger than life attacks, and we've seen in the past that he has struggled to finish chapters with massive attacks going on publishing a panels that were in need of completion. HeroAcas, by comparison, have no such rationale.

MHA Poll Results
1. Bakugo - 16,915 votes
2. Todoroki - 15,719
3. Deku - 8,301
4. Hawks - 3,756
5. Kirishima - 3,573
6. Best Jeanist - 2,649
7. Yaoyorozu Momo - 2,426
8. Endeavor - 2,420
9. Iida - 2,394
10. All Might - 2,278
After all of the cancerous responses to Horikoshi's character writing in the previous arc, seeing Endeavor at 8th place makes me so happy.

It's also pretty telling though that there's only 1 female in the top 10.

I've seen some people on Twitter blaming the fanbase for there only being one girl in the BnHA popularity poll or lamenting that Tsuyu and Ochako didn't make it, but this is all Horikoshi's fault. He is the one failing at making the female characters stand-out.

This kinda gets negated by the fact that the top two characters have not been relevant in years. Using the results of a popularity poll of all things to blame the mangaka for not doing anything with the characters is pretty stupid since the fans will just vote for who they like versus what they've done through the course of the story. And of course fans are going to be pissed off here's groups devoted to stuff ballots into a single character overshadowing everyone else despite them not doing anything its more insulting that Mirio had one of the best moments in the manga but got still didn't make it yet Hawks who just appeared in a short arc makes it to 4th because he looks cuter. All this poll shows is that there needs to be more restrictions into how much you're allowed to vote so this doesn't happen again. The same thing happened with the World Trigger polls where they had to make restrictions or else people would just spam votes in.

I actually dont understand the logic here. Even if characters stand out and you have to vote for your favorite character, then no matter how much attention Tsuyu gets, it wouldnt affect if Tsuyu would place or not if she isnt ones favorite. Perhaps their logic would make sense if the poll was vote for the best performing chartacter, vote for the MVP, vote for who performed the best since the last poll.

I guess one could actually argue that the series was flawed in that respect from the beginning of the series, why doesnt the current big three powerhouses (MidoTodoBaku) include a female, did Todoroki or Bakugo have to be a male character at the conceptual phase of the series? Did Midoriya really have to be male, could it work with a female protag?

Me a few hours ago: There are already several occasions in which some Mangahelpers users have recommended that new manga called "David-Kun". Eh... I will read a few chapters to see how the story goes.

I'M SO DAMN SOLD, GUYS! The manga really took me out laughing so much that I cried a little. It is really unique in its own way and the drawing adds extra points.

Remember, team. Read David-Kun. Totally worth it. :grin

The thing is they would still vote for the character they like versus the actual result. You can't really force them to see through logic since all they're after is the prize. I still say that among the best character polls came from Kinnikuman because it actually did feel like a genuine contest rather than two character fandoms fighting for 1#.

Fine, I'll give it a shot. I wanted to wait some more to see how safe it will be.

Who care about the character gender in a battle manga?
I care about people punching each other no matter if it had tits or not no matter if t's filled with girl (medaka box) or not.

I think it's about time that people can read David-kun in a relaxed way without the fear of being canceled or something like that. Rather, the trajectory of David-Kun is quite clear: episodic comedy with introduction of characters from time to time, so for the moment, it's on a good path! Now that I think about it, it reminds me a lot of Saiki.

Enjoy reading it!

By the way, how has the reception of David-kun and Jimoto ga Japan been in the magazine? Which has predominated the most?

So we're getting 3 battle and/or exorcist series? Thank goodness I didn't raise my expectations.

Shishunki Renaissance David-kun is one of those things you didn't know you wanted to exist until you come across it. After that you're thankful for the wonders of Japan and Weekly Shonen Jump.
