I doubt Chainsawman is getting axed. 2 new series means 1 is replacing one shots and 1 is replacing another ongoing. So they wont axe both, especially since Chainsawman Volume 1 is out in 2 weeks only.

Okay, if it is a new Exorcist series with a high school boy protagonist sign me up. WIll definitely take it over Chainsawman.

I really hope it's not that dumb exorcist series, I don't know how Japan doesn't get sick of them.

Even the isekai genre has more effort and variety in it and WSJ specifically doesn't allow those despite exorcist stuff being way more derivative.

I really hope Shiibashi's new series isn't based on that one shot, exorcist series are already done to death, and that one felt like a watered down "Twin Stars Exorcists".

I don't care what one shot nobody liked or disliked, all I care about is that he does a new series.

On another note, interesting to see Higuma so high, I'm rooting for it, but I wouldn't be surprised if next week it's back at the bottom.

Higuma is likely surviving till the next batch in April/May anyways, so it should be fine for now. ne0 and oneshots are getting replaced and that is it.
David, Chainsaw and Higuma will be left to fight with sales (or if David gets an anime somehow) and reception by then.
