I wonder how the next batches will go if David and Japan do both leave (it does seem possible). I'm guessing something like
- Soma next batch and Saiyuuki if it stays down there
- Zumou and 2 of these new series
- Yuuna and 1 or 2 other things
and that'll probably do it for this year. WNL's also slowly building to an ending so maybe it too, but I think it'll last into early 2020 personally. I wonder if we'll also keep seeing gag manga show up until one eventually sticks. Probably. At least we'll get official translations for them all now.

I wonder what they'll do for gag manga if David and Japan leave, they always like to have one around and while there's 3 romcoms there wouldn't be any outright gag stuff. No doubt they'll add one or two next batch but it'd be missing one until then.
Maybe the Neverland spin-off chapter is a sign and they'll various special chapters for the next couple months until next batch starts. That could be fun I guess.
We've got, what, MHA, OP, Haikyuu with gag spin-offs? Sorta Kimetsu too? Them plus a oneshot or two would do it.
I think they will wait until the 3 non-Samurai 8 newbies from this batch open their rankings, and do the final round in October like they said. I see majority of these newbies getting axed. Too bad Kamio Yui and Saiyuki are already at bottom 3.
Act-Age is a true underdog story and a perfect example of a manga being able to turn things around. Things might look dire for Saiyuki and bad for Kamio Yui, but I wouldn't count them out just yet.
Act-Age struggled around the time Bozebeats got axed. Was helped by Bozebeats being an axe fodder for oneshots, so they didn't need more cancellations.

I think the thing that helped Act-Age though is that it was strong enough in its storytelling to generate discussion. We'll see where things go.
Also, with Japan leaving to the land of Jump+, literally the only gag manga Jump will have is arguably Yui Kamio, should you not classify it as a romance.
Having read the first seven chapters of Bozebeats, I can call it the most brainless manga I've ever read. Hirano clearly had zero plans on what to do, and just randomly meandered with pointless fight scenes and zero building of the narrative. Also, despite the praise given to the artwork, I found it pretty crappy after Chapter 3, with most panels being these ugly digital smears.
And like i said last week, i expected Kamio Yui to be in the bottom too since the ToC is getting shorter and shorter, not much to be done with 0 flops to serve as a shield, but it doesn't mean both of them are dead, Act-Age and Chainsaw Man had plenty of bad rankings and here they are.
Is pretty obvious that David is ending, if not in this issue, will happen in the next and man, Japan probably being moved? this is a win situation for me!
Hopefully Japan moves to Jump+ so that'll free up a slot. I know it's probably asking for the impossible, but I'd love to see David survive longer. But if it does end, I hope Yui Kamio lasts long enough for the next comedy to emerge.
I mean...the popularity of a number of series such as Umaru-chan and Komi-san show that the market is very much there for comedy manga, but the problem is that they're very much slow grinds in terms of popularity, which is not exactly what Jump wants out of their titles.

Eh? comedy manga is a big market in the manga industry, every magazine in Japan has comedy/gag mangas, they're very popular among japanese readers, there's a reason why Jump started two at the same time after Gintama left, they NEED to have comedy series being published.
Reading your comments, is almost like you're implying that the only thing Jump needs is to publish battle mangas and nothing else matters lol
