Thanks for the heads up, it's 6-4.. my bad.. and for the tiebreak, it's 7-6 (8-6)

Is that supposed to be 6-4 or 7-5?

Also, give me a score for the tiebreak. Same to @Animariano.

Fuck why did I even predict straight sets.

Sanada goes down 1-6 5-7... Straight sets again I guess.

Oh, interesting, not a bad call.

I overall think the ninja (who should be a... top 10 player in the tournament? At least for their age) will be too much for Sanada, but if the latter can go toe to toe for a set and barely lose it will be good enough (tho... As I write this, I realise that's basically what happened in D2).

New predictions:
  • Overall score of Switzerland vs USA.
  • Atobe vs Tezuka.
  • Japan's line-up vs Germany.
  • Germany's line-up vs Japan.
  • Overall score of Japan vs Germany.

There's a lot of points on the table and I'm a bit late, so if it's possible to modify some of these predictions to allow for more guesses, I will do so.

Thanks ninja for sucking so much, very nice of you.

Gonna go with Switzerland 3 - US 1 and then we'll hear that the Echizens would had turned it around or something.

Atobe vs Tezuka: Interrupted after a single point won by Atobe.

German Line-up:
D2: Siegfried/Bismarck
D1: Bertie/Schneider
S3: Frankensteiner
S2: Qp
S1: Volk
Reserve: Tezuka

Will prolly change it later, just leaving it there. No clue for Japan yet lol.

I'll buck the trend and say the US defeats Switzerland 3-2.

Atobe vs Tezuka: They don't play at all.

Japan's line-up:
D2: Irie/Kirihara
D1: Tanegashima/Sengoku
S3: Fuji
S2: Yukimura
S1: Byoudouin

Germany's line-up:
D2: QP/Siegfried
D1: Schneider/Bertie
S3: Tezuka
S2: Bismarck
S1: Volk

Overall: Japan wins 3-2.

Reserve: Tezuka

Re-changing my Atobe match: He ends up playing Siegfried and winning. Is this allowed '-' ?

So I have for sure:

Bismarck vs Kite/Kaji (Kite is given Ohmagari's spot)
Volk vs Byoudouin

Germany:
D2: Bertie/Schneider
D1: Frankensteiner/Bismarck
S3: Tezuka
S2: QP
S1: Volk

Japan:
D2: Akaya/Ochi
D1: Kite/Kaji
S3: Fuji
S2: Yukimura
S1: Byoudouin

Maybe only 3 Msers or Niou gets to play... the hardest are the HSers imo.

And I think I'll "give up" and stay with that, it's too hard to predict this one lmao.

Sure, why not.

Another variation I'm tempted to go for in the semis is Kintarou vs QP in S2 btw. I've tried to align my guesses with the MSers' birthdays like in the France matches, but the gap between Fuji's and Yukimura's is a bit small whereas Kintarou would give S3 an extra month to play out.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

I guess now that I've said it out loud, I might as well commit to it, too:

Japan's line-up:
D2: Irie/Kirihara
D1: Tanegashima/Sengoku
S3: Fuji
S2: Kintarou
S1: Byoudouin

Germany's line-up:
D2: Bismarck/Siegfried
D1: Schneider/Bertie
S3: Tezuka
S2: QP
S1: Volk

Not too comfortable with the repeat pair in D2, but then again, they barely played alongside each other in the Pre-WC, so it'd be cool to see some evolution in teamwork on their part I suppose.

Surprised people haven't put Atobe or Oni in their Germany vs Japan match.

Well, why would you put them there?
Because Germany your strongest opponent so it make sense to use Oni. Atobe has a connection to Germany with his major Tezuka on their team and losing badly to them.

In Atobe's case, it's because it's hard to see a player 2 rounds in a row (considering the stamina issue that has been presented... And Msers are pretty lacking in that derpartment) and he will surely play in the finals.

Oni is a big ? . He can literally play at any time, or not play at all and keep his role in the story as the mentor he has been.

What makes you sure he'll play in the finals? As for Oni I think he will lose his next macth.

He has been almost the main character, no way he misses the finals. Konomi is even giving him a moment now so that he doesn't need to play an official match.

Atobe will play the finals for sure. His upcoming points with Tezuka will be to show much he improved without the need of him playing against Germany.

Oni, on the other hand, could make an appearance here or not, but I'm pretty sure that he'll play the finals too, like Tokugawa.
