The way Tekking101 talks about it, the Wano Arc as a whole is supposed to mirror a Kabuki play which has 5 acts. But the last 2 acts are supposed to be relatively quicker than the first 3, but I’m not well versed in the subject so I could be messing up something here or there.
While it's true that Oda seems to be going for a Kabuki play, tekking seems to be wrong about the structure itself.

Only the last act is the short wrap-up, while all three middle acts are supposed to be the climax, with Act 3 being the dramatic turning point.

With that in mind, I think a reasonable expectation is same lenght as 2 for 3 and 4 and same lenght as 1 for 5.

That would put the arc at 120 chapters long but it's honestly a pretty lowball estimation considering everything going on and that we've gotten 45 chapters of just set-up

It seems like what I have been saying for years is happening with Yuragi, something that people here defended against so wholeheartedly: it is ecchi for the ecchi without much coherent story since nobody has no clue when it is going to end, like almost every ecchi manga I've read in my entire life.
I hope Miura Tadahiro finishes it already and start something better, his art deserves it.
Same thing I thought about Soma actually. Although it boils down to just one thing: Both are gimmicky mangas, nothing more, nothing less.

5 acts or not, the thing is that for first time in a while I don't know how the Straw Hat Crew is going to win this battle. It is hardcore this time. XD

Shokugeki no Soma always had a story, I had no doubt that it would end in its final arc. And ecchi in Shokugeki no Soma was pretty low from half to the end making me think that the authors were saving foodgarms to the end.

Yeah that seems to fit with the description but it also means that if true then the third and fourth act will most like have the same number of chapters and the first two followed by a short 5 act, the arc could then stretch to be as long as the Dressrosa arc.
I’ve really been enjoying the Wano Arc so I probably won’t really mind if the arc ends up going that long and doesn’t feel like it drags on like Dressrosa did

Oda definitely has to deliver a good climatic battle or else the arc will get a similar response to Dressrosa then.

While it's true that Oda seems to be going for a Kabuki play, tekking seems to be wrong about the structure itself.

I bet he said the right thing and I misremembered since he made the video months ago.
Plus we’ll get like 3-5 chapters between each act to explore the rest of the world.

It's possible that Samurai 8 doesn't even warrant more than one season for it to matter (Kishimoto did say he planned for 10 volumes, so if that ends up being the case, it wouldn't be a long-running anime)
Naruto 91 filler episodes
Shippuden 204 filler episodes

having little source material matters very little to long runners especially if it get picked up by studio clown

it is way too early to talk about anime.

Observation I've been having, I think a lot of people have been forgetting how impressive Naruto was in its early years when you consider the time it came out.

Like, a lot of things in it have been really normalized so it doesn't hit as hard, but back then, it would've been really striking seeing a battle manga which was as mature and sophisticated as it that was still accessible and interesting, with incredibly strong panneling and storytelling to boot.

I know there's a slightly negative stigma surrounding them now, but back in the day the Big 3 really were in a class of their own.

Japan's face is the perfect description of I'm From Japan as a whole. Existentialist terror crossed with trying to do an outdated cultural meme.

What does it even mean?
It's a manga released last year called Jimoto ga Japan that got a anime announcement really quick. The manga isn't on the magazine anymore and the anime is airing

I know the manga, I was talking about the text.
And they do this with gags since there is no story anyway, it was their intention since the beginning for some reason, but with a series like Samurai 8 it is a completely different story, it's not qualified as an argument.

Probably not. January 2020 is way too soon if they hadn't already been planning it.

I think that pv looks pretty nice. It definitely captures the manga artstyle and definitely better than what WnL got.

I was refering mostly about the animation and what the directing can offer. I mean, the Runaway part looks fine but when the characters started talking looked kinda off and with no emotion. At least the seiyuus are good picks but the studio being a new one with a meh director worries me. If Act-age take this route it would be really sad.

It's just banter

I really dislike WNL anime, tbh. I wish the manga got a better anime adaptation. And apparently, you guys can confirm me if this is truth, the Yuuna anime wasn't that good either.
It's weird to see how from the 4 manga on the poll, 2 had amazing adaptations and 2 had really subpar adaptations.

I wouldn't call Yuuna's subpar, it was just average.

45 chapters for acts 1 and 2, but since act 3 will be the war itself, I don't expect it to draw very longer (Marineford is 30 chapters long, for example). I hope by chapter 1000 will be at the climax of act 4, giving us ~100 chapters for this arc.

For a solid second, I thought this was the One Piece forum section with all the Wano arc talk.

Assuming S8 got an anime, do you guys think they would go for the long running format again, like with Naruto, because it’s a Kishimoto series. Or would they go with the season format that MHA and Kimetsu are doing
It depends on the studio. Pierrot would DEFINITELY milk it especially if the manga is of decent popularity.

The reason no one knows when it will end is the same reason as every haremcom manga. The author keeps going back to the status quo. In Yuuna case the author goes back to shennigans chapters.

Tadahiro just advance the last piece of foreshadowing 10 chapters ago (more like 4 chapters ago in a 10 chapters arc), so it' just a number game on when he will advance it for the finale.

and yes i did say the last piece, everything else happens before it has been resolve.

Well I what I’m also asking is, do you think they would go with a Studio that goes that route this time
