The MC has an ocular power (the eyes turn red) of seduction that he inherited from his father. People who have that are named vampires. Because of that power, his mother killed herself (probably because he was cheating on her, as the first color page suggests). In the wake of what happened, MC decides to not ever use them, hence the glasses which are blocking the power. However, he likes her childhood friend Kashiwagi. So when he sees and realizes that she is in love with someone else (the guy is shown too)....He takes the glasses off as an act of jealousy. Though MC becomes indecisive, because of what happened with his mom, and isn't willing to do anything at first. All of a sudden, a ball came from the outside, crashing the window he and childhood friend were close to. He jumps to protect her, making them fall, him on top of her. Because he took off his glasses, his seductive powers worked on her....and she kissed him. So he basically stole her unintentionally for himself, thus the story starts.

....well, shieeeet. A love triangle with added netori. That... sounds like something that people will either not touch because NTR, hate-read because they think the MC is a cuck, or read solely to watch others react to it. Honestly, as someone who really dislikes NTR, this intrigues me a bit. It might go the melodramatic route, though.

Yup, this definitely doesn't struck me as a Sunday type of series. Hitotsubana had similar "feel" to it so if someones is into this high drama/romance type of series (and can read Japanese) they can check it and kind of get a glimpse of what they can expect from Usotsuki.

In a way this is similar to Fureru to Kikoeru which failed miserably. Still new Minami series have a more mature feel to it.

So, the guy has powers to make people like him, he likes a childhood friend, she likes other person but isn't dating the guy, this isn't really netorare, he isn't stealing the girl from anyone or making her cheat on the guy she supposed likes (since they don't have a relationship)

A little more on time is this week's talk back! I realize now I could have just waited till next week to do this rather than get it out now since there's a week off but eh. This bigger thing here is that, well....Ping Kong is actually kind of great? I read it once before doing the talkback and wasn't sure about it but on a second read I was really entertained. I don't see it lasting long whether it be successful or not, but if it can stay this funny and weirdly heart felt for it's whole run then I'd say it's a winner.
