4 newbies promo push by Shueisha
This is interesting to see. Jump really, really needs another success right about now, so I’m guessing they want more people to engage with their newer works.

I’m betting that one of these series will survive the axe (or maybe two will survive but one will be in a far better position than the other).

I wonder how that affect Yozakura Family. I like the manga and I hope it doesn't die (it already is in the bottom serving as Samurai 8 cushion). I am also still waiting for the chapters regarding Fuutaba (the loli eldest sister) and Nanao (the youngest brother, the big guy with his head on a cube). So I'm scared about this stuff of "Yozakura Family is getting new development next week".

Also this promotion feels odd to me for two reasons:
-Yozakura Family uncertain situation
-Very high possibility of new series in literally 4 or 5 issues.

PD: Usually newcomers get their volume 1 when they are by chapter 12, aren't they? Seems Yozakura Family volume 1 is going to be released when the manga is going to be in like chapter 25 wtf

CSM not getting only one but two full apecial reprints in less than a month? Amazing stuff. SXF is getting it too. Weird to see they are pushing SXF 4 back for another month, though.

Yes it is, with SSJ4 Goku beside him. I imagine they're there because of one of the Dragon Ball Heroes manga?
Probably.

Makes me wonder, what spin-off is Yugi currently in?

No need to shut down anything, just change the release date of the printed magazine version. The online version would come out on mondays/sundays like always, but the printed magazine version comes out 4 days later on fridays. This way the online version would already be available before the stores even get their copies. And fan Edited Mangas would be pointless, because nobody would read a a fanscan version 5 days after the official version is already out.
But then less Japanese people will buy the magazine because they've already read it online. That's way worse than some foreigners reading leaks.

Mate it was translated and scanned released like 5 hours ago. Already read em.

Sorry to say mate but we one Piece fans can't wait. And it doesn't really hurt anyone since most OP fans buy the volumes anyway.
I know plenty of people who follow One Piece without buying the volumes, so I don't believe this.

If anything, the ratio of readers to buyers is probably worse than average (compaired to other manga), because people look up against buying such a long series.

I don't know if I trust that but it'd certainly be nice, I sometimes get lost as to who's who in World Trigger with it's massive amount of characters and there's probably a good stopping point coming up in a couple months.
So glad they put pictures next to the names. :tem

Though it'd be even cooler if they used descriptive nicknames, like in Liar Game.

Like @RafGL's post suggested with the new listings, The Sign of Abyss (Jump+ series) on MangaPlus will resume serialization on January 2. Vol 4 is out in March.

Ooh, nice! I was wondering if it would ever come back.

Now we wait for the other three.

I was joking. But that makes no sense and it also would prejudice the consumers who buy physical edition. Those people just need to accept that the magazine comes monday, that's it, much like an anime have a day to come.

Would they really be cancelling anything right now? They have four empty spots. Unless they start introducing several new series a week, Yozakura is sticking around for at least another two months.

(Unless the are planning to permanently bring down the number of series in the magazine. They have been publishing less than 20 manga A LOT lately.)

Three spots actually, not four. The point of yours still stands and I agree.

I was including the free spot from Dr Stone Reboot, since it's ending this week.
Taisei, Yui, Reboot, Beast and TSS ended, while Agravity and Zipman started. Seems it's three.

But if go back in the year, Soma, Sumo, Saiyuuki, Japan and David ended, but only 4 series replaced them in the Sam8 batch. So there has been an extra slot mostly filled with one-shots pretty puch since Soma ended.

I never said that three series are starting, just that there will be three spots and not 4 as mentioned above.

Like you said, both 2 and 3 series round could happen and I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm working with the assumption that full magazine = 20 series. We currently have 16, so 4 free spots.

If they are planning to permanently stick with 19 series (as I suggested), then it's 3.

But it's not 16.

Act Age, Agravity Boys, Black Clover, Chainsaw, Kimetsu, Haikyuu, Yuuna, Zipman, Yozakura, Mitama, Neverland, Samurai 8, Stone, We Never Learn, One Piece, MHA, Jujutsu. 17.

This is the last post from me about this, as I don't like to drag over something so trivial at this point.

Ah, right. I miscounted (thought there were 19 total).

Though there have been 21 series in the past, right? Did that happen a lot or only occasionally?

I remember it happened once, and they axed one some issues after to bring it down to 20 again.

They would only do 21 if they plan to either remove Samurai 8 in case Vol 3 sales crumble thus the push to another magazine/axe, or if Neverland is ending soon.

Well, my only complaints about m+ are the poor resolution and the effortless handling of double spreads. They cut the double spreads and ruin its impact.
The thing is that they receive a lot of complaints about this and do nothing, and now the 'competition' is gone, I doubt they are fixing this anytime soon.
Fun fact: double spreads are displayed properly on spanish content, the problem is exclusive to the english side.
This is just my own speculation but I think it’s a formatting issue since the English MangaPlus uses the VIZ translations (vizlations I guess) which splits up the full spreads in portrait mode but has them whole in landscape. I came to this conclusion since Hinomaru Sumo didn’t have the full spread being cut issue and it was one of the few that didn’t have a vizlation.
Sorry if this isn’t the case.

I also agree to an extend. Sometimes the profanity makes some lines even more memorable. In Hunter x Hunter, Sale Sale's "THE SUCCESSION WAR CAN CHOKE ON MY DICK, FUCK THAT SHIIIIIT!" was way more memorable than Viz's "Screw The Succession War!".
I get the idea (in this specific case it seems a little too much like a teenager said it), but mangastream did have a great translation for a Dr Stone line when
Ryusui said, “Hmm? What’s this feeling like a noose just tightened around my neck....??”
But I think it was VIZ’s first or second week of simlpub so I can’t hold too much against the translator (plus the MS translation could’ve taken a lot of liberties).

Kingdom is Pierrot Plus tho
anyway, if Toei do cuck DBZ again it would be hilarious
They will only talk about the movie, probably. An actual anime will only come quite later considering how planning and pre-production are taking quite some time.
Also, Pierrot Plus changed their name to Studio Signpost some months ago.
