Moderator Notice: Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.
These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

just add a slash and write oneshot in the series page
Awesome, thank you very much! Now it'll be a lot easier to at least see the raws for oneshots that are published in the magazines.
Also, it must be a Christmas miracle to see people favorably talking about Double Taisei again lol. That volume cover looks really nice. Its second and third volume covers were both really excellently done.
I know Takei and Shaman King are not really with WSJ and Shueisha anymore, but this might still interest people here since Takei mostly speaks about his past as a mangaka:

My gosh, you’re damn right. The covers are always so beautifully done, they are very unique. S8’s covers might not be as artistic as CSM’s and Jujutsu Kaisen’s covers, but I truly respect S8’s ones. I really like them
Well. Yozakura isn't changing. In fact, it seems to be actively destroying any chance of serious development the series might have had (remember them talking about how the brother became overprotective after getting traumatised by the event that almost killed Mutsumi? Yeah, forget about that, he was just born a freak. Remember people wanting to see how every sibling developed their own unique style? Forget all that, too. They just happened that way. The youngest probably got pushed out with the bucket already on his head). On the one hand I applaud them for sticking to their guns, on the other hand I'm afraid that what the series is currently doing just isn't good enough to keep people interested.
Zipman decided to add an actual goal (and got rid of the biggest hurdle in seconds). Which is cool, I suppose, except it makes the girl look like even more of a prop. But hey, if they can get a good story going, it might make up for the somewhat lackluster character development.
And Agravity Boys is becoming a full-blown parody. Fair enough, though that style of humour is not for everyone. But at least they went full 'go big or go home' with the absurdity.
Seems they also announced a Special Event for March. Nothing more it seems. Those were the important news.

This is a bit of trivia and still everything's hypothetical, but given the recent situation and events, I find it quite interesting. Some WSJ series in MANGA Plus have had this week an unusual increase in views. It may be related or not to the scans drama, but I'll leave it here since it wouldn't hurt to analyze how much all this stuff will affect the further development of the platform and how it all goes, and we can also have a reference point for future developments.
My Hero Academia, which had an usual amount of 40-60k views per week has suddenly peaked at 86.044 this week.
Chainsaw Man, with usually 30k views, has also peaked at 40.353.
Black Clover, which hardly reaches 30k has peaked at 40.742.
The Promised Neverland, with not even 20k weekly, usually 17-18k, has peaked at 27.238.
Dr. STONE also peaks this week with almost 50k, 49.760.
We Never Learn, which has never reached 20k, peaks this week also with 30.271.
Haikyu!!, which usually reaches 15k weekly, peaks at 27.130.
And also, One Piece breaks its record this week peaking at 282.788.
Of course, this is all data that could have been caused due to the recent drama, people reloading pages and series randomly, but it's all traffic nonetheless and not in one focused series, but some of them. It will be interesting to see if this is all new users that will lead to bigger growths of views in the platform or if it will all die and go back to how it usually was. The actual test will come tonight and along this next week.
Do you have the full list? I got home too late that day and couldn't get the numbers.
Something that stood out to me last week is Spanish One Piece starting to catch up with the English version. (And also SxF suddenly speeding up when it was about to be overtaken by DBS, but I think the reason for that is obvious.)
The last time I saw Amazon pre-orders ranking used to predict sale this early, the actual sales showed completely opposite.P Pre-orderof manga 2 months (or even just 1 months) in advance is an absolutely meaningless information.
The mangaka was working with Kodansha for years, including a Shaman King sequel. Kodansha basically bought the series entire rights from Shueisha, so they can't use it in anything or publish the series anymore, unlike series like Saint Seiya, Hokuto no Ken and others which they still can publish older editions and use the franchises in merchandise.
From my understanding it has to do with the cancellation of Shaman King Flowers. It was the flagship series for Jump X, a monthly magazine that ended up failing. A few series that ran like 87 Clockers were given the opportunity to move to other magazines and SKF was apparently also offered that treatment but Takei instead decided to end the series and left Shueshia once he was able to.
Andy's Islands has a lot of information on the subject.
