Guys, that the thing at the top with the "1" just says that OP had the Number 1 manga volume in 2019, aka that OP was first place on the best selling per volume chart.

Okay, I am not expert in japanese but I dont see kanji for volume anywhere. It uses コミック which is comics in katakana. I suppose it can mean both individual volume and series as a whole. Though again it more use for all volumes of a series. So its like we are lying but not really.

I think individual tankobon volumes are reffered to as comics/komikkusu in JP like the Jump Comics label that is just on volumes.

One Piece is still undeniably the best seller for a single volume in 2019. While its sale is on decline, One Piece is still too enormous compare to the rest of manga industry.
Also, isn't it great for Shueisha, have 2 no1 manga, one for single volume and one for total volume.

Byakuya is already gone. We got two one-shots and two empty spots (18 manga in the magazine).

That's why it's so weird that they are advertising one and not speaking a word about the other. You'd think having two flagships would be something they'd be proud of, but apparently not.
