Seriously, I'm pretty sure that's entirely stock art.

I dont think it is, its just using similar poses/perspectives of what we have seen previously. And if it was the case, I dont see nothing bad on using previous art that was for promo, less work for the author, more focus in other aspects. (We discussed this when Stone and David did this previously so no need to go back to that)

So, I checked and yup, the cover is indeed art lifted and slightly modified from the debut cover and the Chapter 14 CP. Not a damning statement, but it is pretty lazy IMO

The author of Curtain's up, I'm off did an amazing job on the cover for the final volume, the composition and coloring is beautiful. Hopefully we see them again soon (maybe even in the main magazine)! They have a nice, engaging art-style and a knack for character writing which is sure to get even better with more experience. It would be a shame if they don't come back in some form.

I don't have a problem with the artwork being re-purposed. I don't like that he's continuing to misadvertise the series by acting like it's full of unique characters when they practically don't exist.
It's a series that feels like it had absolutely zero planning behind it. It reminds me of Invisible Jim. They put out a box that looks really cool on the surface and makes you think there's going to be an awesome toy inside. Turns out the box is empty. Invisible Jim doesn't exist, it's just a lazy, greedy attempt at stealing money from children in the guise of letting kids be creative.
That's what's happening here with Yozakura defenders here. Always coming up with the laziest excuses to defend the series lack of content simply because they are hoping substance will come because they really liked the box. However the toy will never actually be real.

It's really not, though. The poses are similar, but the drawings are completely new. Not saying it's high effort or creative, of course, but there have been a lot lazier ones.

Are you okay? did the author hurt you or something because your rant was way to aggressive for a manga that just don't use the family members so much, also, you're really criticizing the author for including the family in the first volume cover of the Yozakura family manga? this is something i expect from Rain, not you because it really doesn't make any sense to do.

I'm just sharing my opinion. I've had "hot takes" countless times in this thread. When I really don't like a series, I've always made it pretty apparent. I do find much of the "defense" for the series to be just as aggressive though.
Why include the family if they don't actually matter? It's false advertising.
It'd be like if One Piece's first volume cover didn't include Nami or Zoro, but instead had Coby and that little girl who made Zoro onigiri on the boat with Luffy.

I typically don't have a problem with artwork being re-purposed.
