I meant mangaka who would make some now. All the manga you mentioned are fairly old. I don't agree with magi but I agree with everything you said that are on par with toriko and op.

but there are great new adventure manga, as I have said Dai Dark isn't even 1 year old
and Tengoku Daimakyou which just turned 1


why would these be hits in 2018 and 2019 but not 2020?

or is this another gag/sports genre are dead thing?

Glad to see Mashle ranked well here.
I'm one of the voters for this series and my vote was half due to the chapter itself and half due to the hype for the next chapter (school setting, new characters and so on). So I think the second chapter will make or break this series.

Good recommendation. But, tbh, I think this topic began with only wsj in mind. If people actually read manga from other magazines and platforms, they would never complain about the lack of some genres.

Alright, I LOVED the new series. That could be really, really good. It's an interesting setting (although kinda derivative of Shingeki no Kyojin), good characters and the development of the story in the first chapter was pretty well-made and convincing. Good art, as well. I hope it delivers.

So Guardian of the Witch is an adventure manga, nice!

It's actually a pretty standard opening chapter. Nothing great, but nothing terrible either. But the one thing that made me unexpectedly pleased is a third wheel coming along. If the author plays off their interactions well. This could end up pretty decent.

Hmm, so setting is basically SnK+Claymore (the witches are the claymores basically) and a little bit of kimetsu for the premise I guess

The direction it heads towards is pretty interesting so we'll see how it goes

Also, Samurai 8 was actually really interesting to me this time around. It's evidence that Kishimoto had a cool battle system planned out, he just started explaining it too late/poorly.

I guess so far I'm the only one who straight up disliked Guardian. Had a nice premise, but the whole thing just felt so plain and tired to me. I thought the worldbuilding was whack too. You got the old sinister religous leadership that's constantly drawn the same caroonishly menacing way, yet the author also seems to justify their radical actions with what little worldbuilding their was, while also making every action of the MC nonsense. I bet there will be some more damning revelations, but in my opinion this whole angle would make it even more bland. I'm feeling early cancellation on this one.

Guardian of the Witch is so fun. I don't know how the author will scale the witch power and the guardian power, but that's a matter for later, now it has yet to survive.
Mashle was funny too, but I feel like the art doesn't deliver it all.

Guardian of the witch had great first chapter, not out of this world but enjoyable and catches your attention.

Will be interesting to see how the characters and world develops.

My love for one series, makes mashle pure joy for me.
