If they hold up in the upper part of the hundreds they might have a debut week a bit bigger than Higuma, which was like 5k. The newbies' saga to survive continues.

I mean, do we know what Honto's stock for Yozakura and Mitama were?
lol they're getting so used to the manga being sold out that they are joking about it using manga panels kkkkk
I mean, considering the long streak of flops Jump has endured over the last six months, it makes sense they'd be economical.
Decent starts for both Yozakura and Mitama, and now I'm really getting curious to see how it'll do when compared to Poro. On the Jump+ side, I'm hoping Mizore won't drop too quickly. Now that series is a nice little gem.
I forgot that all of Kimetsu's backlog is above both of them, so under normal circumstances where there wasn't an entire series' backlog almost permanently in the top 25 (which I think can be called an outlier event), it's almost like Yozakura would've been around 22 and Mitama around 33 after factoring out the great wall of Kimetsu. Hopefully they both keep selling and don't quickly drop.
Jump almost always has most of their series they put out annually flop. Their cutthroat nature is what allows true gems to stick out.
Oh yeah, I completely forgot about Poro. Guess that explains where some of the sales are coming from? People who remember reading and enjoying the prior series?
I don't entirely blame them. If you look at the current lineup of series, as well as where some of the established ones are in the story, it's clear that the magazine really needs a couple of new hits. Hell, it strikes me as really fortunate for them that Kimetsu blew up the way it did, but that won't last forever.
I've been looking into that series more, especially after the recent collab art with Horikoshi. WHat's your opinion on it? I hear it's really good, if MangaDex comments are of any indication.
That may be possible to a small degree, but as much more prominent authors have demonstrated over the past few years, having a popular past work that readers used to enjoy certainly doesn't guarantee their continued support with their new series. Otherwise, Robot x Laserbeam, Yui Kamio, Hungry Marie and Samurai 8 all would've sold at a closer percentage to their previous series. Since Poro was his only other work to my knowledge, I doubt he has too big of a cult, devoted following.
Poro is pretty bad.
Honestly, Mizore is just good and cute fun. It doesn't really do anything revolutionary or wildly different, but almost every chapter exudes a soothing slice-of-life vibe.
