Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Yozakura is in a position similar to that of the first volume. I don't know why this desire to see the manga get canceled.
I don't think something was properly understood by some here. Yozakura's first week wasn't exactly all that great, and the rankings weren't good either. The redeeming factor was that the first volume got 2 reprints, so it would stand to reason that the second one would do quite a bit better right off the bat.
If it isn't, that's not good. But let's wait and see the coming days.

Spytrue doesn't know when Jujutsu Kaisen is going to air, so I'm doubtful of him.

(Yes, I would be mad if we know MHA S5 date yet we still don't know JJK airing date. But it really seems spytrue has no idea about JJK anime stuff)
Eh, JJK's anime is in a a weird spot to be fair.

About MHA season 5 I wouldn't discard the anime being aired in Fall. Coronavirus + Tokyo Olympics being in Summer make me think is going to be a better idea if the season 5 starts in Fall, not in Spring.

Bleach new season was going to start on Spring, wasn't it?

To have had 2 reprints, it is because sales were good, those people on Twitter who consider this position of Yozakura to be good.

Reprints not equal to "sales won't drop". Reprints mean the Vol 1 sales came higher than expected. Nothing stops it from dropping in Vol 2 if some didn't like it and didn't attract new fans to replace those that abandoned the manga. Just look at Koi Goku no Toshi (J+), with multiple Vol 1 reprints, yet Toshi dropped from Vol 1 on Shoseki.

Hoping Yozakura holds well now, I am starting to really like it as of recent.

Reprints just mean the manga did better than expected, it is entirely relative to WSJ's expectations. It's not like every reprint is a kimetsu reprint which prints like 300k copies of each volume lol.

Just an example, but say they print 5k of a volume, and the demand is actually 6k. It gets a reprint, but does that mean the sales were 'good'? Not really.
The fact that it got reprints means that it sold more compared to expectations, but it's not like they printed a whole lot for it. Volume 2 should have started better.

That said, we'll see how it stands overall.

No, it's starting next year. We don't know when, though. Also, I think it's reasonable that HeroAca Season 5 may air in 2021, considering the effects that COVID is having on the anime industry, which frequently relies on outsourcing.

Not sure why you're treating this guy as if he's an official account or something, he's just a guy from this forum.

I forgot to add the 2021, I was meaning Fall 2021, after the Olympics.

Each believes in the truth they want. do you think yozakura is bad even with the reprints.
I prefer to see sales of the second volume, but so far I see that yozakura looks good.

when f information about UU and agravity was shown no one complained about the source.

What? The source isn't that guy, it's shoseki, that's just a guy commenting the rankings. He can think whatever he wants.

Volume 1 getting reprints was the redeeming factor that got most to say the performance was decent, but volume 2 should be doing better given that fact. I'm not sure what is so hard to grasp.

As Raf would say, rankings are relative. Maybe Yozakura actually is performing better, but all the other series around it were performing better as well. It's a bit too early to tell, which is why I want to wait for the weekly rankings.

Which is why I said "we'll see how it stands overall", this is just an early comment based on this first ranking which might mean something or might not.

it should, but it's also not bad. It is practically the same as the first, for now.

You should probably look at the bright side: Jujutsu's anime being delayed to 2021 would actually be a good thing if it actually is MAPPA. Those guys have their hands freaking full in 2020, and JJK is growing on its own anyways for the time being.

Because they're good positions, now they need to remain there lol. And that's what's actually hard, because if they don't then rip.

As Raf would say, rankings are relative. Maybe Yozakura actually is performing better, but all the other series around it were performing better as well. It's a bit too early to tell, which is why I want to wait for the weekly rankings.
Yeah it's basically this. I tweeted that they're good positions, because of course they're not bad lol, but as well as we know that they're relative and we can't get any number from those, they also need to hold in the top for a while before we say: well damn it's selling good. Also, as for Yozakura's case which seems to be the most discussed one, it's gonna be 3 days against 6 days was it? that Volume 1 had, so don't expect the same numbers but way lower. And add to that these newly revealed restrictions Tokyo is taking because of COVID-19.
