Ik Hinomaru Sumo did one with Kuroko which is the most recent one I can think of. There was something about a Sanji Food Wars thing, but I didn’t read it.

A Kimetsu and Yuuna crossover? Don't know how that would work. Maybe it's just Zenitsu trying to murder Kogarashi for 19 pages.
I would like to see a Yuuna and Mitama crossover though. Or maybe a Yuuna and Jujutsu crossover were Koga joins the school and fights curses. I would love to see Gege draw him.

I finally started binge watching HxH after putting it in my PTW list years ago, and I'm mad that I didn't watch this earlier despite everyone recommending it. Like wtf Gon is my favourite protagonist of all time and his bromance with Killua is just... ugh
I think this might turn out to by my favourite shonen ever wtf

You don’t know how lucky you are man. What I wouldn’t give to go back to start over the manga without any prior recollection and blissfully enjoy it all once again. It really is an experience and makes the years of hiatuses unbearable.

so I've been rereading some Jump stuff and I think the theory we were talking about a bit ago about new series having issues sticking is related to the one-off chapters. Not everything does that (Samurai 8 and Beast Children for example) and I'm excluding gag stuff from this (although Mashle kinda fits my theory). For example with Assassination Classroom (which I remembered as mostly being 1 off chapters at the start) is mostly 2-4 chapter arcs and by the end of volume 1 there's almost nothing that's an irrelevant story that's just for fun. The closest thing is the movie chapter but it still serves to help readers and Nagisa and Karma learn more about Korosensei.

I also read Jujutsu Kaisen 1-36 (since that's where Viz has made it) as well as the first 2 volumes of Demon Slayer, Food Wars, TPN, MHA and Nisekoi (just personal preference on picking it over WNL) and all of them were pretty much the same having early mini arcs with the exception of Nisekoi although all the chapters I read where still developing Chitoge/Raku's relationship or the characters.

The one counterexample I can think of is Yozakura which mostly has been episodic and either introducing seemingly pointless characters or doing nothing to really develop any characters or relationships, and it seems to be doing alright. Personally I think this is just based on the interesting characters and premise giving it an early following and it wouldn't have survived if half the magazine wasn't full of uncertain series with 3 or 4 big series ending soon as well.

This isn't saying I think this is a guarantee to success as I'm sure a lot of axed series have done arcs at the start but I can't read most pre-Viz licensing everything ones and the ones after that have either been purely episodic or had other issues that held them down. This one just feels like something people think the least about as unless you go back it isn't really noticeable.

It is easily one of the greatest things WSJ has put out ever, if not the greatest.
There's a reason why it's sales has been so consistent despite the hiatuses for so many years.

Technically speaking, Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san and We Never Learn had a couple of crossover color pages that featured the cast together. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san also had a short crossover extra chapter with Saotome Shimai Ha Manga no Tame Nara!? from Jump+ as well.

Personally, I can't wait for Spy x family to reach the "longer narratives" the editor was talking about in its manga plus interview. The comedy and family moments are good enough by them self, but I can't really just get into it

It's a matter of pacing, really. It's admittedly going to be a tricky part to play for Shihei and Endo. They have to know the right timing to get into the serious arcs, and when it's okay to unwind a little bit while moving along the plot.

Although, I have a feeling that won't happen until Anya gets a little bit older, meaning that we may see a timeskip at some point.

Yeah, I knew where they came from. It was a 2018 issue cover were everyone swapped roles. It just that....out of everyone.....they chose Tanjiro as Yuuna....
