Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

This shit's hitting the Japanese people harder than the actual coronavirus. xD

Also kinda fitting, since Kimetsu no Yaiba ends today. I wanna see how hard this trends on Japanese Twitter, or worldwide.
I’m sure that it will trend number 1 in Japan at the very least

The account is 12 days old, and the first tweet was posted 30 minutes ago. So it's hard to say
How does this compares to other times an author created a twitter account?
... no, Gotoge's birthday is May 5th, not her account creation date. I'm fairly sure she just made this account.

Also so far LiSA has followed the account, the official accounts will probably soon follow it too if it's real.

Indeed, I got confused, thanks for pointing that out

https://twitter.com/jump_henshubu follows various mangaka (I see Kubo, Posuku and Tsutsui for example) and isn't following that account. https://twitter.com/kimetsu_off also isn't (although follows some weird stuff like To Love Ru's Twitter). It could just be because it's new but I think we should wait for either account to acknowledge it (unless author comment mentioned opening a Twitter or something)

She made it around an hour ago and most of her tweets has like 10k likes in 31 minutes so I’m sure it’s true but take it with a grain of salt because there is a small chance this was a successful prank
It blow up because Gotouge gender got a lot of traction in Japan(Over 250K tweet) so people following this account isn't a surprise but till now no official account of Kimetsu or Jump is following it.

Seemed to good to be true. Creating an account of the person responsible for the most popular series (at the moment) with revealing their gender, a hot topic in the fandom and on the same day the series is ending is a very easy way to get plenty attention in a very short time

Jump chapters out!

Everyone who says that they want Gotouge to work in a slice of life series next is absolutely fucking right because holy shit I really liked this chapter.

HeroAca chapter was great as well. It was tense yet it had a really funny bit. That title page was really good as well.

Ghost Writer was good besides the infodumping about WSJ in the first half, but I suppose most people reading might not know exactly how WSJ works.

The premise is certainly interesting though, plagiarising a manga from the future and claiming it as his own with the real future creator noticing. I'm very curious at what kind of direction it's going to go from here.

Moving on.......

A while ago, I talked about MHA's legacy and influence in the future. And...sure enough, Ghostwriter has that influence visible as well in the main character. For someone who's only just gettin' into Jump's behind-the-scenes stuff like I did with Bakuman will find this interesting enough, but for someone who's already pretty informed about that kind of stuff might not.

The interesting part is the time-travel aspect, which is either going to be interesting and keep the readers engaged, or it'll be a mangled, convoluted mess.

The infodump may have been deliberate. There may be a lot of readers that already knows the gist of how Jump works through Bakuman, the only thing that'll be the key to this manga's success is how they'll handle the time-travel aspect, since that's the only unique angle that sets it apart from Bakuman.

I can't believe One piece is ending before 2030
MHA ending before that sounds about right to me.

I think the fake Twitter account thing is also trending pretty high as well.

Also, now that Kimetsu is finally over, I'd love to call attention to @Zetsyn's signature, because I'm pretty sure this is exactly how the higher-ups at Shueisha are feeling right about now. And maybe Time Paradox Ghost Writer being on the cover can play to it's benefit, enticing new readers to check the series out. Speaking of, I'm gonna read this after WNL!

Kimetsu's final chapter definitely shows that Gotouge's next work should be a SoL but commenting on the final chapter, it was pretty good. It was fanservice more than anything tbf.

The initial part of Time paradox ghost Whiter, seemed to me much more realistic than whole bakuman.

I do not think that everyone that he team paradox has read bakuman too, it is very infordums but at least art helps in reading.
