The art and animation looks fine compared to the doom and gloom some people were making due to a lack of info on the future of the anime. Can only hope the staff does not run into any issues that’s out of their hands due to the pandemic.

As someone that doesn’t read JJK currently, I do hope it solidifies it’s place as another huge pillar for the mag that can fill the hole left behind by Kimetsu and TPN.

also, with so many anime getting delayed right now, I’d imagine that they wouldn’t have given a Fall date if they weren’t confident or set for that date. Would have likely held back on the trailer, or not given a date at all if they were would even consider delaying it

Not bad. I think it could be better, but this is acceptable by my standards. Not everything gonna be like Kimetsu or OPM S1. Hope the end of season fights are much better visually.

I agree, I think it's 1.6mln fw for kimetsu 20, thought it would've been higher tbh.

Thank god it looks fine. The trailer screams Park Sunghoo with the dynamic camera lol. My hopes are coming back but also not so much since I want the production to remain steady through the entire run. The shots of Nobara really felt like a scene straight out of Banana Fish anime. I'm glad they kept Itadori's hair pink and not the dirty white and Suwabe being cast as Sukuna is perfect. Anyway, looking forward to how this will turn out.

The PV looks good but having Park working on two projects back to back and the notorious examples that MAPPA productions always fell off after the first episodes, I will be cautious.
Hope they delayed it tbh and dont stick with the October date.

God of Highschool is deep into production so I'm less worried, but yeah this is typical MAPPA.

This week's number are comprised mostly of the new volume since reprints are going out today and tomorrow and last week Kimetsu sold 1 million. I'd say there is a high chance that volume 20 has sold 2 million or at least close to it this week alone.

And this is without the anime lol. This is more than Dr. Stone's circulation, which has more volumes and already had an anime adptation airing. It will probably hit 5 million once volume 12 is released next month. Jujutsu Kaisen has a chance to be huge hit in the future.

Wait a minute, wasn't this AA volume was only on the market for 5 days? Iirc, Volume 9 did about 80K in its first 5 days, right? That's some amazing growth!

This accounts for all the series has sold, not only the new volume.

Shoseki has the KNY backlog really high, unless they are drunk as heck this week I would even lower that 1.6mln fw to 1.4-1.5mln actually, definitely a lot lower than I thought but let's wait for oricon.

Looks pretty good art wise imo, can't wait!

While it’s not ideal this adaption looks very well. I don’t know why I feel a tad disappointed tho (maybe because I probably was expecting demon slayer levels which is a near impossible bar. This is definitely my hero tier adaptation which in itself is very amazing. Fluid animation, amazing shading, spot on with the horror aesthetic, and great character designs. If the trailer is actually how a good amount of how the anime looks (of course it’s not going to be that high quality during slow scenes) then this can definitely be a smash hit for shonen jump.

If the anime is good (even if it is not as it can go the black clover and Tokyo ghoul route) this can definitely bring high sales next year. Definitely next to impossible it will be demon slayer level but I can see MHA, TPN, haikyuu, or AC level sales.

It's a bit much to use KnY production quality as a base standard - just don't go in with overly-high expectations so you can be pleasantly surprised. I think it looks fine so far.

well, i also used pierrot on bleach as example...


but, no matter what the quality..i hope by next year it will surpass MHA in yearly sales (man, dont ruin this for me).. and surpass BC on all time circulation,. now they only separate by 5.5 million, you can do it...
nice to see act age got top 10 and sale more than 100k..

The Jujutsu anime doesn't have to look the best like Kimetsu, Shingeki, or OPM S1. As long as the Japanese audience likes it and gives it word of mouth it will gain a significant boost in sales. Examples: Tokyo Ghoul, Quintuplets

We know from the manga sales that Japan really likes the manga. It has 4.5m circ already and many of the older volumes have over 300k sales according to Oricon.
