Man, now I can post right now that Mashle is getting an anime and call it first without any need of a source or proof instead of waiting for factual information.

I tought we already learned on waiting but I guess not.

I did put a restriction on Yonk leaks being posted on here, but then the MAPPA JJK thing happened.

Before people bring up leakers claiming MAO was getting an anime, remember the Inuyasha sequal was announced. Most likely they got insider word that an anime based on Takahashi's work was coming and assumed it meant MAO.

Okay, guys. No more insider tweets about X series getting anime, when we know they'll eventually get anime.

From here on out, the information needs to be specific. If Yonk knows the studio, or what WSJ issue the anime is announced in, THEN you post it.

Just saying there's going to be an anime isn't insider knowledge, that's just common sense.

How the hell would Fire Punch even be possible? Beyond the graphic content which puts even hard dark VNs like Muramasa and Subahibi to shame, a lot of the story is structured in such a way to where it be borderline impossible to comfortably fit into 22 minute episodes.

They did drop. The anime actually was on the verge of cancellation around Ennis Lobby as a result.

Filer is also borderline impossible for OP because of how arc post Thriller Bark are structured.

I saw Yonk say that, but its ratings were still high during then, they actually were higher than before it moved timeslots from being after Sazae-san to a morning one, and didn't recover to those levels until a few years later around Impel Down.
(We could've had a longer running Kochikame anime tbh, its ratings were better than OP's and held audience better after Sazae than OP)

Massives leaks as if in these were something surprising or unexpected, which sadly are not. There's more stuff which is even more interesting, but of course talking and tweeting about what's basically 2 days ahead of getting announced is easier.

Same reason many leakers also make up stuff and post unconfirmed rumours, so people pay attention to them more. It's the same reason some manga ToC leakers put a watermark on the images.

Spoiler: why you shouldn't blindly trust leakers

If you play fighting games you see it constantly, someone will have a legitimate source of some kind but can't resist posting a bunch of extra rumours and speculation as leaks because it keeps them in everyone's minds. If a leaker only posts definitely confirmed stuff (especially when they've got just one real source), people wouldn't keep up with them every day to check for new info.

The Paul Gale controversy ('leaker' from the Playstation all stars discussion) is a really good example. He posted some genuine leaked information early on so people trusted him, then he kept posting vague or obvious leaks so that people kept paying attention to him, until the game came out and some of his 'leaks' were proven false (which hurt the game's hype, since people believed Cloud and such would be in the game because of him).

Eventually, Sony investigated and found out his source is someone who play-tested an early demo that had a couple unannounced characters in it. So he had a real source of information but his source didn't know everything about the game like the leaker pretended, he only knew info on a couple characters and made up the rest of his 'information' for attention and fun.

That's why you shouldn't blindly trust a leaker, even if they have some real information, it doesn't mean they have all the information. The source could just be one guy why played a demo early, or gets the magazine really early, etc. Wait for proof.

What motive would the smash bros (mentioning this game to make a point) leakers have to lie. They just want attention that’s all.
