I start pretty much every new Jump manga (as well as anything Viz or Manga+ pick up because why not) and while drop it whenever. A lot of gag series that's before I even finish chapter 1 because their humor just doesn't resonate with me. I've noticed lately I tend to make the decision around the end of the 1st volume but it could be any point.

You think they'll be able to keep up the "at least one extra WSJ anime per season" thing going long enough for the next upcoming series to join the anime rotation in a couple years? Referring to seasonal stuff rather than long runners like OP and Black Clover.

The next 9 months is probably sorted with 2 per season, but after that relies on when the inevitable Kimetsu s2 and CSM air, and if we get more Haikyuu and Jujutsu without too much of a gap.

My guess is that My Hero 5 starts this Spring, so that's at least 1 show for Spring/Summer 2021, then I could see Chainsaw Man being Fall 2021. And we'll probably get a final season of Haikyuu at some point next year as well, probably closer to the end of it.

My thought is that, after MHA, we've probably got Kimetsu s2, CSM, and more Haikyuu next year, but whether they'll have enough to keep it going until Mashle/Undead/whatever anime happen depends on if/when Jujutsu s2 and Dr Stone s3 air.

Act-age probably would've filled a gap but obviously it's not going to any more.

I suppose there's also probably Jojo part 6 at some point if you count older series, and the possibility that we'll get more Muhyo and Roji every 2 years until its done.

So it has come to my attention that there are TWO versions of the Jump Pirate logo.

I did a bit of research (and by that I mean looking at the pirate head logo in various Jump covers through the years) and found that the first version was used from the first issue in 1968 to the last issue of 1983. In 1984, they started to use the second version. And it was used until the last issue of 2017. They have gone back to using the first logo since the first issue of 2018.
And it seems that all the tankobons use the first version for the JUMP COMICS logo.
EDIT: Took a look at the pirate logo in Mind Assassin and Yuragi volumes, Mind Assassin has version 2 while Yuragi has version 1. Guess there are different year changes for the tankobons.
EDIT 2: I'm getting confused now. The first 63 volumes (parts 1-5) of Jojo use version 2. Stone Ocean and beyond use version 1. But Bastard!! uses version 1 for volumes 1-20 and 24-27. Version 2 randomly pops up in 21-23.

After the second half of S4, Haikyuu!! still has enough content for two more seasons. 2 cours (20-25 episodes) to cover Nationals and likely another cour (10 episodes) for the final arc. I think we’ll have the Haikyuu!! anime still around until late 2022 at least.

Thousand Year Blood War is a massive 207 chapters, so if they keep the 3 chapter per episode rule (which was pretty average for Bleach) that would come to about 70ish episodes/6 cours. I think anything less would be a little too fast, especially since there’s a lot of fans hoping it’ll expand on the manga rather than rush through it.

If we’re lucky they’ll do like with Naruto Shippuden and get the CFYOW and WDKALY novels adapted as well. Both are canon sequels to the manga, which could another cour. I’m not gonna hold out hope yet though.

lol why you would never guess? Bleach still a big money maker for Shueisha and so many older and "less" popular anime franchises returned in these last 3 years, Bleach was just a matter of time.

Both just the fact that it'd been 8 years and how much content there was to cover, wouldn't be a "here's 12 episode of Muhyo and Roji" situation which is probably much easier to greenlight. Not sure if this is super relevant to the thread though so I'm going to drop this line of conversation.
