4 new series means that Our Blood Oath is probably ending next week (with 18 chapters).

Also, I´m surprised Takahide is not in this round, I though the vomic was a hint to that.

Damn, not only Matsui but Kenta Shinohara too??? Nakano really trying hard, this is going to be really interesting but also kind of worrying for the curr entnewbies since its two acclaimed veterans that will for sure have some back up by the magazine

Not necessarily, they already have 4 free space for the new series

Assuming it's the same one, Inaoka had this that was in the digital version only (I remember it being mentioned on here).

And Invade You!:

Their Twitter:

Also last one I think is a sports series, since Ashibii previously did 3 sports manga

sports guys twitter https://twitter.com/makoXmako
Title is different, but he did a boxing one-shot last May.

Not sure what the (presumed) writer has done.

And if you wanna see some art from the one-shot author (I'm not sure what to make of that title either :P):

Incredibly excited to see Shinohara back, one of my favorite authors out there. Was somewhat expecting him to stay on Jump+ so this is a pleasant surprise. Seeing Matsui again is exciting as well. Looks like this spells the end for Blood Oath, which means it doesn't need to take up space for a few months before the next batch. Very interested to see what'll take the next spots on the chopping block for whenever the next batch comes around.

This could be a really exciting round with Matsui and Shinohara.

Hopefully we get another 5 month break to let the series settle, especially after the bloody slaughter 2020 brought us

Not counting Moriking, there are 17 series in the magazine. If we are staying with the usual 20, one more has to go.

Chainsawman's position was already filled by SAKAMOTO DAYS (we had an extra series for a couple of issues).

"If" they want to keep 20 but their limit is 21, is perfectly possible to be axed, but is not really needed and honestly Bokura doesnt look like is ending in 2 chapters, but lets see

I can't believe the Magu leaker of all things confirmed ToC haha. See y'all need us Magu fans after all!

...Which is why I am incredibly afraid for our position in the next round now that OBO is 100% dead. God please volume 3 show like any sign of improvement at all.

Veterans coming back is exciting though. I believe outside of the big ones the author of Invade You is coming back as well, let's see if they can have a better run this time. I wonder if one of these (possibly that ball parade one) is the spokon the magazine has been missing.

I have to say I predicted a middling position for Build King and there it is. It doesn't seem to be particularly popular despite the veteran bonus. Sakamoto Days is definitely poised to do better based on the few metrics we have. Build King might be the next Dolphin (though I don't know if it will sell that much below expectations).

And finally, it's curtains for Moriking...it's a little bittersweet for me. It's actually the first series that got me into keeping up with Jump...yeah weird I know. Then Magu solidified it. Moriking started decent and it had its moments but once it hit the midway point it started declining. Doesn't help that Moriking himself was kind of a boring character, imo. I'll miss Oki though. Good luck to Hasegawa in his future endeavors...though given he also did Spring Weapon #1 idk if he'll be in WSJ again anytime soon. The translator for Moriking is pretty cool, I hope now that this series has ended he gets another one soon (besides Roboco which is now his only WSJ series).

"If" they want to keep 20 but their limit is 21, is perfectly possible to b eaxed, but is not needed and honestly Bokura doesnt look like is ending in 2 chapters, but lets see

If 21 series keeps Magu alive a little longer then hell yes

Shitpost turning into reality. At least half of it.

Really happy with these two. Looking forward to Inaoka and will support them, Bunkiten was an enjoyable read at least. Also, excited for the newbie duo coming with what seemingly sounds like a dance spokon? Sesuji is objectively speaking the best one of the best series ever in Jump, so also excited for it. Hopefully, the whole round doesn't disappoint.

Moriking is his third (and last) strike after Yakenohara and, yeah, Spring Weapon. Just ended up being a mistake to serialize that one-shot.

So it's "Ashibe", not "Ashibi"? Will edit out if so.

And let me know if you find a good title for that one-shot. Maybe it's French related?

A new ballroom dance spokon? Count me in.

Phantom Seer really needs to start rising in the rankings to ease the tension. Praying for good second volume sales.

SKET Dance and Assassination Classroom are my favorite series from their respective decades, personally couldn't have had the first batch of the year any better than this. A big IF, but Matsui has a chance to be one of the few authors with hits from three different decades in the magazine.

Shimabu would also qualify for this, although I think he’d count for four decades.

So:
-Matsui returns
-Shinohara returns
-Alice to Taiyou author isn't back
-But Invade You author is back. Will he be able to do a Gondaira or will he be axed again?
-And spokon is back in the menu; we are very likely going to have our first baseball manga in decades
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Confirmed by Ryokutya:
-Matsui manga is going to be an historical tale
-It seems Invade You author is doing a romcom
-Kowloon is a baseball spokon

I was expecting Matsui to come back sooner or later, but never expected Shinohara to come back in the same batch and so soon this year. They're my two favourite Jump authors and both Sket Dance and Ansatsu Kyoushitsu are some of my favourite series. Really hyped for this batch.

Really hyped for this batch. Matsui's series being historical is already great news to me. Hoping for something good.
