I think he's talking about how quickly the axe was dropped. It would be odd to give t-shirts for Cop & Dolphin or Highschool Family if they were going to end right before the lottery so it seems like Build King might be ending before Cop & Dolphin despite both clearly on their way out the door. Other users were saying "Jump never axes veterans this quick" in defense of Build King a couple days ago.

Yeah others had like close to a year in Samurai 8 case, or like 30 chapters in Yui Kamio. They at least had time and favor to try to turn things around.

Most veterans usually do well at first though, almost all of them get some decent ToC and a colour page before they drop to the bottom long-term. Even Hachi which got axed on ch 21 got some decent rankings beyond ch 10.

Build King however is performing worse than even some U19 series.

For reference, it was unavailable for about a week before it's release date (assumedly out of their initial stock), became available again for some time, and is now listed as being available again on April 14th. It's ranking currently is 1,985. Suffice to say, it's doing quite well, as far as we know.

Hmm. The link works just fine for me, so I'm not sure how to fix that. If you go to amazon.co.jp, you can just type out Sakamoto Days and find it (since the title is in English even in Japanese).

Looking at the chapters included in the vol 5 of Agravity Boys, Shueisha really milking the volume releases, half is main chapters, other half one shot / extra chapters, so they still have 11 chapters + the epilogue to include in 2 more full volumes, but i guess Agravity Boys fans have more to read

In other news, kinda surprised with the good score of Build King on Amazon, considering the total lack of promotion and terrible rankings, i thought would be bombed like Samurai 8 and it did started with a 1 star but recovered, in sales is now ranked almost tied with C&D which isn't really a good thing but is Amazon, curious to see Shoseki but it will not sell "good" for sure.

Good start for Sakamoto as exected, and yeah, C&D and BK not appearing, is Honto but still not good sign at all, now we wait for Shoseki

Good start for Sakamoto, looking forward to seeing how it holds. Roboco went up a few spots, but not really meaningful, this manga just won't grow it seems, a shame because I really like it. Cop and Dolphin dropped a bit, it's just a matter of time until it ends. Not a good start for Build King, it's done.

Overall nothing unexpected, at least to me since i've been following Amazon pre orders of April releases for a while, Sakamoto did very well and Build King started a bit behind C&D, basically what was going on with pre orders, now is just a matter of holding at least decently.

Farewell Moriking and good luck to Hasegawa, Shonen Jump and the readers don't deserve you...

I'm very happy about Sakamoto Days, that seems like a really good starting position. Honestly, I expected Build King to be lower, 97th isn't great though. Who knows, maybe there'll be a turnaround.

Random question, but: wasn't there a manga/one-shot from WSN where there were two brothers/samurais, in which one of them died and the other went on to train and avenge him or something like that in the city nearby. Something like that. Kind of KnY-like. From some years ago.
