Anyone else find the font selection in Witch Watch really weird? I could barely understand what the Tengu character was saying because of how ugly all the letters looked. Also the Demon Slayer references were a bit too much

Nothing against Witch Watch but I'm already very patient with so much comedy.

I wanted this manga to be more romance and less comedy.

It's not a matter of liking or don't like, just that there are too many comedies

Even excluding normal endings, another mangaka could be caught touching girls, someone could fall so ill they don't anticipate being able to return, the worst and someone dies, etc. I know it's probably based on story content and knowing another series is ending (maybe M+ IDs) but just seems weird for an account that's mostly news/leaks to post something might happen

I dont know how they got it from the plot as nothing from the chapter suggested it could end *next* chapter.

Yozakura was more predictable stuff, sad backstory and a blooming, very much uninterested right now. Maybe the Hinagiku guys can spice it up a bit but I doubt it

Undead was great, Shen is becoming one of my favorite characters

Mashle was good, humor didn't do too much for me, but the art made it entertaining enough

Ayakashi was alright, the arc overall was kinda boring but if the series keeps doing smaller arcs focused on different spirits I wouldn't really mind it though

Magu was the usual, heartwarming but a little weak on the gags, even for a Napu chapter

Dolphin was surprisingly pretty good, I liked the backstory and looks like it'll get better. Likely not ending next but I'd be surprised if it didn't for the next round

Roboco was pretty good as well, gags landed pretty well, and for a misunderstanding chapter I quite liked it

So Phantom has ended, and I'm saddened to see things turn out this way for it, but that's just how it is. As far as an "adventure continues" ending goes, it was pretty decent, obviously plenty of stuff didn't get to be developed but as far as axed endings go I was decently satisfied. Cast was really growing on me, and the art was phenomenal. Genuinely looking forward to whatever they do next, hopefully to more success

HSF was pretty good, I thought the romance was actually pretty cute

Build King continues to rush through things, nothing surprising

Sakamoto was really good, solid action, solid comedy, and the new character has really grown on me in just two chapters. Really hope this sticks around

Elusive was good, this next arc looks interesting, but things happened a little fast at the end so I'm not sure if this'll be a full arc or just a brief pitstop

i tell c has lost me at this point, not exactly bad but I don't really care for it. This could've been like the second or third chapter and I wouldn't have been surprised. I think it's "prologue" did more damage than good for me

Witch was pretty good, humor was solid, and the Tengu was surprisingly likable. Looks like this is actually a story arc so I'm looking forward to see where it goes

Kowloon was pretty good as well, efficiently brought the shortstop into the team and might be finally giving us some kind of game. Very solid team dynamics so far as well

OP and Dr Stone were both great this week. Stone in particular was surprisingly dark, but I think it worked

-though what if they threw a curve ball and made it two girls...diversity and inclusion ftw.

Since it is a shonen manga if it was 2 girls it would more likely be heavily sexualised and it would be used as fan service instead of actual representation. There was that rare moment with blue flag tho where they were actually represented good, but it is very rare in shonen manga.

I will say, I don’t think blue flag is will be a romcom but a pure romance with comedic elements (kind of like a silent voice, ge good ending, a town where you live, and video girl ai). I would like to see more of these types of stories not only in shonen jump but in shonen manga in general. Romcoms are definitely flooding the shonen scene with basically the other big three (SM, SS, and SC) having at least a good chunk of there line up being a romcom or have romcom elements with only shonen jump really staying in the battle genre.

The info IS coming from Mangaplus IDs. Build King only has space for 2 more, with this week's chapter filling up one.
That twitter account is always vague when info comes from the IDs because it can be wrong (it never has been before, but they are covering all bases) and they don't don't want the trick to be too well known so that we can keep on using it.

This week's top 5:
1. Magu-chan: God of Destruction - Nice and peaceful Napu chapter, and the character growth for him at the end was very satisfying to see. Plus, the portions focused on the lesser being was cute as well.
2. Mission: Yozakura Family - The arc is finally starting to build up to its climax, and I'm super invested in what's going to happen next. I'm quite pumped to see some nice Nanao action next week.
3. I Tell C - Curious to see if this is the direction the series is going to take from now on. Some of the parts that the FMC was talking about were pretty humorous. Lets see if this can hit 20 chapters or not lol.
4. Me & Roboco - Roboco finally had its first good chapter after a handful of misses from the past few issues. Unsurprisingly, Roboco being completely absent from the series usually bodes well for the humor aspects.
5. Ayakashi Triangle - Suzu's growth as a character has been pretty enjoyable to watch, and I'd say I like her quite a bit more than Matsuri at this point. His power development hasn't been nearly as interesting as Suzu's.

The best of the rest:
6. High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku - Another decently funny chapter this week. The misunderstanding was cringey, but it felt like a pretty real situation at moments. Plus, bonus points for playing the best instrument of all time lol.
7. Sakamoto Days - The color page was great, but the ending of the chapter was a bit of a letdown. It was pretty much resolved it a way that had already been used before. However, I really like this new character, so I hope he becomes recurring in the future.
8. Mashle - Another pretty eh chapter. Hopefully the upcoming battle next chapter is more satisfying than the last few fights have been. The antagonist has been pretty hyped up, so I hope it doesn't disappoint.
9. Undead Unluck - I thought there would've been more backstory, but it's starting to seem like it's going to be trickled in bit by bit over the remainder of this arc, or maybe just this particular battle. Regardless, another chapter that didn't really land for me.
10. Witch Watch - Pretty lackluster chapter, and the development at the ending resulted from such a stupid action. So far, this series has been a bit of a letdown in terms of both humor and romance.
11. Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin - Looks like the backstory is going to drag on for a bit longer now that the inevitable has been prolonged. I just want the kid to have a happy ending.

Finally read the one shot, pretty good. I hope it goes multiple couple route like tsurezure children.

The diversity and inclusion aren't so strong concepts in Japanese manga. That would hardly be the reason for a same sex couple in a manga.
