With the success of tokyo revengers do you guys think there is room for a full on yankee manga in jump maybe with fantasy or supernatural elements.

I'd like to see a WSJ take on a series with a similar premise/setting as Rokudou no Onnatachi. Yankees, romcom, battles, harem, light supernatural elements, power of friendship™ - What more could you ask for?

A new yankee manga would be nice. But I also want Rokudenashi Blues to finally get an anime adaptation.

I agree with everything except for power of friendship. It would be nice to have a down to earth protagonist like takemitchi but maybe a bit more manly and stronger.

Isn't that essentially Beezlebub? It's a yankee manga with supernatural and romcom stuff.

Granted Rokudou leans a lot more into the yankee genre while beelzebub takes it in a more regular battle shounen direction but that's just the difference in how the magazines work, Champion's more yankee manga-friendly in general while Jump's more about super powered battle shounen.

Not much to comment besides Stone being out of top 5 and Witch Watch dropping a lot, nice to see Ayakashi recovering.

Well, i think Kawada could really deliver a good yankee/delinquent series, his art is pretty much perfect for it and Shonen Jump really needs to try some delinquent series again, it's been ages since the last series actually focused on it, it's always just a minor part of it, and i think Beelzebub was basically the last of it on Jump, even counting the flops, Jump just didn't bothered and i get why but Tokyo Revengers is showing that yankee series still can be a big hit.

It was really a great series AB, if it survived enough to get an anime it would have had a great success.... It's a shame jap axed it

It will end of axe camouflaged as natural conclusion. It would still be doing slice of life shenanigans if it was successful.

A natural ending that probably resulted from being axed. If Cop and Dolphin had been #1 every week since it debuted I don't think it would be ending now. Tamura just had the foresight to wrap up his story as soon as he realized it would be ending. The fact it feels so natural is a testament to his talent and experience as a mangaka. I hope he's able to return with a more successful series in the future, even if it isn't in Jump.
