Magu-chan is also on the cusp of hitting its stride. It's nowhere near dead or on life support or any other euphemism one may want to use. Its very well the next katekyo hitman reborn except with cute mascots.

Agravity boys received a cp when was almost ending too, and even St&rs received some... but the difference between Magu chan those series is that they were always dead last and so they were axed
Magu chan is manga that spends more time on the bottom compared to other series

That's not true Stivie, both ST&RS and Agravity Boys lived almost 100% of their lives in the bottom while Magu-chan has plenty of placements in the middle, not to mention it also started in the top while AB in the bottom, ST&RS had 3 good rankings, a color page and sinked to the bottom where it stayed until the end, ranking wise Magu-chan is doing far better than both.

Not so, of course magu chan started much more after a while the manga started to spend most of the time at the bottom or near the bottom.

there was the magico that was published in jump, there was a lot of CP to promote it and it was canceled with 66 chapters.
Huh. I never really noticed before, but Magu actually has a decent shot at outliving Magico at this point.

Oh man, and Spring Weapon No 1. That's something to think about.

Also, wasn't Magico that series that was uber-popular up until a certain chapter, then it tanked almost overnight?

Well we know Shonen Jump do lie about popularity and reception with new series in order to hype a series (Build King "explosive popularity"), but color page is another story, also being popular doesnt mean more than the other series but being popular in its own, which is the case of Magu-chan ranking decently well, good merch and etc.
Yup, such an explosive popularity that the series literally exploded. If I were the magazine I wouldn't want to write something such as "the series is doing poorly and we had much higher hopes but please do us a favor and read it, look at the pretty colors". All I'm looking at today is wether the series is above or below the bottom 5 and if it is than it's good enough and hopefully will grow in sales in the future.

The point is that Magu-chan placements as a whole are far superior than AB and ST&RS that were just stucked forever in the bottom while Magu-chan fluctuate a lot in the middle too.

Also, wasn't Magico that series that was uber-popular up until a certain chapter, then it tanked almost overnight?
Magico wasn't exactly "super popular" or anything, but it was popular enough in the placements and sales to keep going for over a year, and at that time when SJ had all the big hits together, unfortunately the author introduced a bad character which caused the series to sink in the rankings, but volume sales were still decent for that time and good for today:

So they should invest in plush stuff and stop printing tankobon for magu chan, because they're wasting paper.
Because if the only thing keeping magu chan is SoL, then they should have kept nine dragons longer.
The fact that Magu managed to penetrate the merch market before any sort of anime is still noteworthy (it's like if the Pochita UFO plushes came out in late 2019). Merch is a very lucrative ancillary market in of itself. You seem to be dead set on the idea that the only way a manga can make "muh profit" is tankobon sales but the reality is that the merch market is a vast ocean of moneymaking opportunities. That a little backpack plush retailing for around 20 dollars (US) even sold out at all indicated to Shueisha that there is an avenue that Magu can exploit.

Imagine Magu-chan getting a morning timeslot anime targeted for kids/teens and becoming a merchandise success for Shonen Jump, isn't something impossible to happen :p

So, it's okay to have a manga that doesn't have good sales and bad positions in TOC since you guys are saying the plush toys are selling, if that's the case then you should transfer as this is just taking up space.

And you can't even compare magu chan with chainsaw man, since at least chainsaw man had decent sales and good positions.

Look, not every manga that wins anime is an absolute success. Eden zero and fire force are there to prove it, besides, magu chan is not this pokemon 2.0 that you guys keep selling.

Fire Force is a bad example in this case, it went from 2.3 million before its anime to currently 16 million. It's no KnY/JJK/TR, sure, but it was overall still a good success and moved copies.

Also Edens Zero anime is a success being able to enter the weekly top 10 of best tv rating anime despite being a late night series, in fact my comment about Magu-chan was more about being a anime & merch success with kids/teens than necessarily selling manga.

Eden zero is not a hit compared to previous mashima works, especially fairy tail.

It doesn't need to be a success like Fairy Tail, the anime still a success on it's own.

jeezus christ we have this same magu discussion every week, stivie you gotta let it go, it clearly must have some financial value otherwise jump would have axed it by now
I had already stopped the discussion and you guys started again, it's not just my fault.

I would say it's pretty faded, I wouldn't call it a success.
But at least one netflix caught the anime, hopefully they invest in edens zero just like they did with beastars and jojo.

Can we please make a gentleman's agreement to never answer certain users if they ever bring up Magu's or Phantom Seer's sales or popularity? Don't feed the trolls.
It would be a disservice to the forums credibility and respect if you let flagrant and blatant conspiracy theories go unaddressed. I will not stand for fictional twists of reality to be given the light of day and neither should you!
