Well let's see here....hmmmmm. Seeing as I'm new to this game, from my understanding, there are townies and there are mafia hiding in the townies correct? So by matter of deduction you've got to figure out whose who? Reminds me of clue and the idea of 'who dunnit' almost lol
Correct about the first part. However, it's also possible for a Third Party to be hidden among us as well. They're just as scummy as mafia.
We should be expecting around 5 scums in this game according to the rules as you can see below. Our job as town is to lynch them all.
It differs a bit from whodunit as clues are not dropped randomly by mafia or anything if I understand that game correctly. Unless they slip or it becomes pretty obvious who the remaining mafia is, we can't find them from just talking. We mostly rely on roles, mainly investigative roles, to find them. If you're not an investigator, then you must have another utility such as protecting other players or such.
As this is based off of CIV (I vaguely recall the actual game, I played it waaaaay back in the day) you can make allies, enemies and the like? I see we're actually on the same continent too, when I look closer at the map! That's cool.
Haha I don't think we can seriously make alliances in this mafia game, unfortunately. Everything related to the mechanics based on CIV is explained in the first post of this thread. I'm sad that they didn't implement alliance-based mechanics though.
