"Breakers" are there in case 2 or more people chose at the same time then? Does the Future Era mean we can no longer research or does it mean we lose our gained roles from that point on?

Now that you mention, it’d be funny if mafia have members in both continents and thus get split into two for tonight. They’d be less coordinated but it’d too early to be any overly obvious lapses

I'm a bit unsure about the civics tree mechanics, when you "research" a civic, what exactly are you finding out?

E.g. If I research healthy townie, what happens? Is it the name of a healthy townie, the number of healthy townies?

The first two civics which are available today you will find out how many other Civs have learned the respective technology. Going forward you will have civivs available that unlock a Temporary Secondary Role, that is added on top of your current main role. Quick reminder:

Temporary Role (Unassigned): Temporary Roles are Townie roles that are for one use only. If the Temporary Role has a day or night action, it disappears after the use of it. If it doesnot, it disappears automatically one day after receiving it. Detectives cannot identify Temporary Roles.

The Temporary Roles can be both utilized by Townies and non-Townies, despite of the origin of the Temporary Role. Quick note here, "Mafia Detective" Role hidden under the Scientific Leadership civic does not give a Townie the ability to do a night kill though.

The Mafia Detective is a Temporary Role for one Night and Day phase. Same as for all other Temp Roles.

Yes, tie breakers are only used in case more than one Civ applies for the World Leadership position in the respective field.

In Future Era the Permanent Secondary Roles (from Leadership positions) do not expire (only the M. Det). No further techs can be used from that point.
