I think EH and Gry could both be right. Combo of illusion mechanic and protecting roles. Max post count by players.

Kinda confused about this illusion stuff, can someone clarify? So basically if someone is killed at night, they won't die but get turned into illusions? So they can post and vote during the day just as normal, but can't use their night/day actions if they have any? And they only die for real once they're targeted by another player? These additional mechanics for new and returning players ain't fun : (

Third party roles like SS (shapeshifter) wouldn’t do good in a game this large except maybe Santa.

I agree with Gry that the illusions could help protect against multiple parties but from my POV EH could also be right.

They can post and vote, but their votes and actions are nil. When they are targeted again or lynched, the illusion breaks.

EH - doesn't like the role, mby a lil bit spicier than previous roles
Misha - active role, does not know how to play it
Sam - active
Evil - rare role, doesn't work well with illusions mechanic |It's one of those roles you actually need to go to the rules thread to read what it does. Also, it doesn't work well with this mechanic, so I'm on the worse end of the stick roles wise.|
Gry - likes his role (probably active role)

Almost full points there. Illusion is a secondary role that reads as followed:

Illusion (Third Party): A secondary role caused by the Shapeshifter. The player is not made aware of getting this secondary role, and can continue to write posts, vote and submit any day or night actions he has. However, his vote will be registered as usual but it won't count towards lynches, and his role will lose all its active/passive effects.
If any day or night action is used on an Illusion, it will immediately shatter and die. Upon an Illusion's death, the host will reveal on which night the player was turned into an Illusion. (GAME 69)

The gist of it is that the players (illusions included) don't know who is an active living player and who is just an illusion until they scatter by being targetted by a night action. Obviously the killer will know who they targetted, but that's about it. If the illusion has an active role with a feedback PM by hosts, they can figure it out by not getting the response PM as well. So that's something to look out for.

If you're passive or don't get a PM with your own role, there's no way of telling.
