Probably they already know that they are BH, which would make sense since they are making them prisoners instead of just killing them, it could even have been a direct order from Gustang I don't know, there could be negotiations and they could be the bargaining chip , anyway as Pudidy has said and this reminding you that he's confident of his abilities, there's nothing they can do there, thousands of regulars, dozens of HR, BH, the regents and they think FH might be there. .
Personally, I think they know, because it would be a disappointment if they didn't, to me at least. I think the family of
intelligence likely had an
intelligence officer scan them and they didn't even know, and they *think* they are being slick with silly disguises.
Security does look light though, so....
As far as what they can do to the PB forces/ship - IDK. These are some of the highest-tier LPB. They can likely solo vast swaths of Po Bidau, including most of their HRs - and that's not even addressing that they could all combine forces now. It would take equivalent PD HRs or greater to stop them (and in the same or greater numbers), and the elite at the highest levels should be rather rare at this level for any/every family.
It seems they are mostly quiet because Gustang could be home at this point - but what if they find out he's gone out?
Also, their choice might soon be to rot in a jail cell forever, or try and fight and die on their feet at least. They might have little to lose if they find out Gustang is gone.
The only things i could think of is that
a) A GF main ship is a place so secure by virtue of the people usually being in it, that security was an afterthought for thousands of years, if FUG never won a battle vs a squadron, you can imagine a gf main ship
b) GF represent nobility, imagining a branch leader resorting to some sly and dishonorable tactic like infiltrating a ship by getting captured is almost unthinkable for them.
c) even in war times, having 5 High Rankers, 3 of whom around top 300 lvl, travelling together is also seemingly impossible for them.
Still, it's laughable how carefree they are. I guess Gustang cares very little about bugs safety.
While I agree they seem to be too carefree, this seems to be the doing of the Po Bidau brass and not Gustang. Though, I doubt he cares about bugs wellfare in general, he certainly doesn't want *his* bugs needlessly binned.
There are only 2 options: they either know or they don't know. If the PB family is that complacent during a war, then that isn't very 'intelligent' of them. If they haven't sought out knowing what they have in their midst, then that isn't very 'intelligent' of them. I'd like not to think of them as that complacent, but maybe their intelligence (the PD themselves, *not* including Gustang who is absent) is more of the bookworm general knowledge type and not so much the street smarts application of intellect.
I do think Gustang might handle it differently, or he wouldn't have to because he could blast their asses personally if they got out of line.
I also think the Po Bidau likely know most HRs that are notable. The PB certainly have their own ancient rankers as well that would recognize old LPB rankers, and/or are recongnizable themselves. Their whole shtick is knowledge, I can't imagine they haven't done their homework on their enemies.
Shame if that's not the case.
Seems very unlikely to me that they realized they are branch leaders, let alone High Rankers. They put around them 6 light houses for 5 "unknown Rankers" as Yura said. The guy talking to them also seems lower ranked than let's say the guy who announced the War at the last station.
It could just be that Yura isn't aware of what the PB elites are aware of, as she is a guest and not privy to their intel simple as that. But I do find their level of security questionable so far (whether they know or don't). It's not like there are PB HR's escorting them, or separating them which should be one of the first things done so they can't team up.
Hell, even the drug cartels know to put a hood on their captives to disorient them from trying to counterattack or knowing where they are.
Maybe, giving them the benefit of the doubt, they have some of their highest rankers just out of line-of-sight watching what's going on, ready to pounce if need be. Or anti-HR measures in place. IDK.
The question is, how close is that?
Because Gustang speaks my territory, not my mothership, the LPB mothership can only be on one of the floors ruled by the Po Bidau.
I think YHS failed to change trajectory, only activate the wp gate, the issue was always destroying the portal so that it seems somewhere random due to destruction. So I think they are all indeed close to the coordinates of the LPB mothership, mad not on the same floor.
I suppose that depends on what "territory" means by Gustang here. I'd think the FH's operate out mostly out of their capital ships, but their floors undoubtedly have castles as well, and the capital ships are mobile. Still, floating castle capital ships seem to be the norm.
As such, it would seem more important for one family to try and strike another family by going after their capital ship, more than a random floor (of which each family has more than a handful). If the LPB wish to vanquish the PB and/or Gustang himself the target would be his Ark/ship, same as why Gustang went to Rei's ship as well. We know that Gustang uses his ship as a base of operations, but left to confront Rei, and Rei does the same, but left to get Baam.
If there's going to be a meaningful battle between two families, it would likely be between two capital ship floating castles, each with the FH inside. The 'territory' a capital ship would have surrounding it would be the most sensitive to each family, irrespective of the floor it is currently on. Kind of like how we (the US) could have a carrier group far away from our shores but upset that they have their proximity tested by a Chinese or Russian ship or aircraft traveling too close.
I think there's a strong likelihood they are on the same floor at the very least, and that Gustang is speaking about his main ship, but it's a guess at this point of course.
I don't see SIU showing another Family Head like this.
Well, we know he will sooner than later and hopefully his last blog hinted that he is bringing more online. I hope he does because a multi-polar war between FH's would be more interesting than not. Blossom showing up to aid Gustang or Bloodmadder showing up because he caught wind of YHS already would be the tits, IMO. The story has dragged out far too long; let's go.
The thing i have no clue about is Gustang encounter with Khun, Rak, Hwaryun in a ship sent by Maschenny.
One thing I wonder is if Gustang can warp back by his lonesome at this point - how did he arrive? He has to have a warp ship nearby for his return. Can he use the ship that AA & Co arrived in? Or is that ship dead in the water once it shows up because the warp abilities are back in Mas' main ship? In short, could he leave with them in their ship now, or just take them with? I doubt they will just exchange words and be done with it at this point. Things are building up to a reunion, and that would mean Gustang returning with the AA crew back to his ship and Rachel.
What are AA and co. going to provide Gustang that he isn't already aware of? It's not like they know Baam's current location or circumstances even.
And why don't their eyes vaporise on looking at him.
Because those regs are now high rankers... they fly, they aid against ancient monsters like Levi, they aid against top100 HR's like White, they can do it all!
