To bargain something or to use him as a leverage.

BB exchange Coby or Law against Garp is way better for him.

Unless it is related to Sabo and R.A. since Sabo have seen Im-sama.

Nothing big will change. Luffy has already declared war against WG. His awakening made him as a target of assassination by the Elders.
Even if things remain this way, the war is inevitable.
